with what ? We have only shipped Daniels, Clarke, McQuoid and Hines out so far

I was throwing out some old CT's at work today. The headline sports piece of an issue in October caught my eye-Pressley stating that it was his ambition to field a starting XI of CCFC academy graduates. Two down on that, then...

The comments Pressley has made about Webster shows that he doesn't see the game the same as the majority of fans, Webster is a walking disaster and I don't think Martin is much better.

If he is going to come out with this shit then he is better off keeping quiet as he has made himself look a right fool.

It really is way past the time for Pressley to go and the only reason they are keeping him on is because it has taken away some of the hatred towards Fisher and what Waggott should be getting.

I'm not sure he's watching the match at all. Maybe he's watching something else on his iPad and that's what he was showing Madine.

So SP hasn't actually denied that he was bawling out instructions from the stand or that the players told him to f@@@ off. Seems to me that the original allegations were probably true.

Pressley's biggest crime is calling what was said by that fan on CWR. lies. and to be honest CWR should not of accepted that without the guy who said it who incidently was sort of invited to say what he witnessed the chance of reply, although I missed the very last bit so if he did reply I'll apologise. To accuse someone of lying is a serious accusation.

Looking at the photo the CT printed it shouldn't be too hard to get someone else who was sat in the same place to verify what was happening.

anybody in the stadium could see the decent on the pitch, with players shaking off instructions its been going on for weeks. i dont see who he is trying to kid he made it very clear after Worcester in his post match interview he had issues with the dressing room but he would stop it and he just hasnt. the problem that sisu and pressley share is they think the fans are idiots and will believe everything they are told no matter how stupid the statement.

How many mistakes in the other 17 games though?

I would say no more than the rest of the back four. Willis was having a horrendous time before being 'rested', Johnson's gifted a fair few goals, martins had his moments, but without going through every goal conceded this season I couldn't tell you off the top of my head.

I don't even particular rate him, he's a league one defender making league one mistakes, no jordan Clarkes gone he's the new defensive scapegoat.

Webster was actually playing well. He's had a poor game or two of late but isn't the only one. Cov (or any football) fans love a scapegoat though

I agree Webster has become the whipping boy on the pitch and closely associated by supporters with Pressley. I don't think the manager should of changed the 2 centre halves for the Swindon match, he did and poor old Webster was on a bit of a hiding to nothing, poor managerial decision imo.

its not just webster in my opinion. although he is being made out to be the fall guy here, because he has mistakes in him, if he was more consistant he wouldnt be part of a back 4/5 in the lower regions of league 1.

ive only seen a few live games this season, but it does seem our tactics are very hit and miss and the whole teams performance is suffering.

we have a new-ish young manager who is very immature and finding his feet and a new-ish team who are also doing the same.

if only we could play the same as the second half against fleetwood, or like we did against walsall every week , but the fact is we dont , and thats not only webster at fault but the whole team, staff , manager and owners .

the whole team needs more time to gel(loanees doesnt help in that respect) or a complete frookin overhall from the top first !!!

At what point does Pressley stop being a newish young manager?
He has managed c250 games
Chris Hughton has only managed 233 matches.
Brendan Rodgers has only been in charge for 279 games and around 150 before becoming manager of liverpool.
Eddie how only has a seasons more experience (c50 games more)

His biggest crime is not packing his bags and getting out of town, he's useless.

He's not a scape goat he's just shite plain and simple, he's been shite since he signed, he'll be shite after he leaves. Conor Thomas gets scapegoated and considering he's still developing people should be able to excuse the inconsistent performances, The Rock on the other hand is an experienced 34 cap International and should be bossing this league. If you actually watch our goals back and see how many times his man gets away from him, he gets the wrong side, gets under the ball so can't jump, pulls his full backs in so enabling the cross (which he misses) this is why he's getting stick. Defending him cause he's had nine so called good games just shows how clueless the Pressley has become.

Second half against Fleetwood? We improved which wasn't hard considering the First half was so bad my eyes actually started bleeding, but we were still at best slightly better. The best performance in months came about when he had no choice but to pick a back four full of pace thus enabling us to not sit so deep, everytime The Rock plays we sit so deep we can't actually get forward.

Does anyone think if Webster wasn't scottish he would be anywhere near the team or club? The only reason he plays is because he buys into the manager bullshit.

He buys into and seems to try to get the other more sensible players to do the same. If Webster was as good as Pressley believes he would not be playing for a club at the bottom end of league 1.

well maybe we should get one of those instead ??

like there gonna touch us with a barge pole !!

i dont think picking a few "top quality" managers is an argument

pep guardiola only had 247 before going to munich ???? so we should sack SP ????

Yes, that's exactly what I am suggesting......

No I'm saying that the tag of "newish young manager" learning his trade as an excuse for forgiving his inadequacies, and being lenient on him is starting to wear off. He has been in football management for 5 years c250 games, IMO he is no longer a rookie manager, and thus we shouldn't be using this as an excuse.

When Pressley came some wanted Phil Brown because he was experienced, yet back then he had managed around 240 games a similar number as Pressley now.

Do I think Pressley has to go? - yes I do.
