He can't spell and the layout is poor. The content was good though.

Speaking as an ex-English teacher, I'm struggling to find any spelling mistakes. Sentence structure may be a bit unconventional, but so was Shakespeare's from time to time. And a damn sight better than most on here.

Very interesting and inspiring read. He is not the first manager to champion the importance of tactics and technique over winning games at a youth level but really this is the correct philosophy. I remember reading somewhere that in the Barca academy the team is forbidden to shoot at youth level until a certain number of passes have been completed and the ball has covered a certain distance. Working on technique and tactics is far more useful than getting the ball in the back of the net at a youth level of football. A manager who adopts this philosophy into the club can only be beneficial and hopefully we will see players come on with a better football intelligence and high fitness and workrate than some of the players who have come through our ranks in the past.

I think this also gives us some indication of his footballing style and we I'm glad we haven't got another Hoofroyd on our hands.

I have reservations based on his results previously but like all who take the job he has my support and I hope to see him pick up from the good work being done by Robins and taking us forward.

He speaks a lot of sense. His passion for the game and his country shine through, and I hope he carries both of those through to CCFC. His views on why supporters and legislators in the game need to change are absolutely right. They're not much different south of the border. Maybe if the FA had decent rules about the suitability of owners, we wouldn't have hedge funds involved.
His emphasis on technical traing is bang on. It's what has given the Brazilians and Spaniards their superiority, and gets the Dutch punching above their weight.

I wasn't too keen on him, but after reading that, he has my full support.

Bang on assessment there!

A bit of passion about the game goes a long way in my opinion.

To many managers (and players) these days are in for the money.

They don't care about the football anymore and that saddens me.

So to read that and see a man who really does love the game and cares for its development!

Well I'll be happy to have him here and I'll give him all my support!

Glad I posted the letter on here and that it has given some posters on here the same impression on him that it gave me at the time.

I remember reading this in the summer, and being impressed that he genuinely seems to care about football.

As to whether he can manage I don't know, but I'm sure he be a well motivated manager, with the club long term interests at heart. If we can survive the short term, this is exactly the type of man we should be looking to employ going forward

WOW - a football manager with a brain - no cliches/jargon/sound bites but highly constructive assessment of the Scottish game which can equally be mirrored south of the border.

Accent on skill, technique and attitude spot on - first impressions; go to the top of the class young Steven you'll do for me.

Actually I was trying to encourage people to read it top to bottom as it made a lot of sense and was very well thought out.
