Thing is with the strengthened squad there’s no reason to risk him from the start, makes so much more sense to start EMC and slowly bring Wright up to speed
I know we have, but it's if Robins feels it's worth the risk. Really impressed with EMC but Wright brings proven goal threat, when Robins said he wants us to start strongly, can you leave out your joint top scorer if you think he's fit enough to play an hour.

Interested to see if Robins thinks Rodrigues is ahead of Tavares at this point.

Allen is captain just now. Unless Sheaf makes a miraculous return he will be captain for the foreseeable...

After today with Wilson, Tavares Obikwu, Andrews and Burroughs playing this morning it looks like they are outside looking in. With Sheaf being back i suppose its Howley on the outside as well.

Next week we will see some being sent out on loan or sold for nominal fees. The good thing is the club are not pressured to do anything, but cant see us holding all.

Probably not, but he was away with the USA for the Copa America so he didn't have 6 weeks off like everyone else. Robins may want to risk him for an hour if he trains well this week.

Ok, whatever. Robins is well known for risking the fitness of key players when they have just returned from injury and haven’t had a proper summer break…

All of those players will be loaned out. Even Tavares needs game time and if he can prove himself at L1, he may earn a new contract with us.

Our younger players definitely had a good preseason and they’ll be in the shop window in the loan market.

Bidwell

Torp
Eccles
Rudoni

Saka
Simms
EMC (fitness levels for Wright now there is no midweek game)
I reckon you’re right.

Do we know where Sheaf is/when he’s due to return? I was disappointed and slightly worried that he wasn’t in the squad today.

My pre season conclusions are thus :-
Dovin - obvious pick bought as first choice , early indications very positive
MVE
Thomas
Binks
Bidwell
Torp - Improving at a rapid rate both in terms of fitness and awareness. Potentially top drawer
Rudoni - Looks the bollocks , great signing .COH looks inferior in most aspects
Eccles - hugely underrated but in because of Sheaf lack of fitness
Saka , fantastic player marvelous attitude
Simms PL striker in a Championship team (ATM)
EMC what a signing

Wilson Lati Kiching Da Silva Sheaf Allen Wright Raphael BTA

What a fucking bench that is.
Considering that at least 2 more signings are likely to come in we should fear nobody in this league

Nice to see many responses to my ultra attack-minded lineup. Just did it for kicks and giggles. 🤭
