Two out of our big three signings from Barnsley couldnt even make the bench today and the other one was really poor.
Barnsley have had our pants down
Kitching was suspended.

Think Binks gets a 6 also. Otherwise I may agree with you.4's. All round apart from Rudoni 6
Dovin 6 ok with ball at feet but didn’t inspire confidence with crosses , and megged for goal
MVE 8 about best of the bunch
binks 7 stupid foul / booking early on
Thomas 5 passing was shocking 2nd half
Bidwell 6 looked slow today
Torp 5 still looks lightweight , and like he isn’t sure where to be positionally
Allen 5 better without Torp
Rudoni 7 decent
Mason Clarke 6 average
Sakamoto 6 still getting fit
Simms 6 ok
Dovin - 5.5
MvE - 4.5
Thomas - 4.5
Binks - 4.5
Bidwell - 4.5
Torp - 5
Allen - 4.5
Rudoni - 7
Sakamoto - 5
Simms - 6
EMC - 5
Haji - 6
Eccles - 5
BTA - 6
Palmer - 6.5
You’ve made palmer man of the match
Really surprised by the almost unanimous negativity towards him.
I will quote tweet this once the season has got going and will put my neck on the line that he will be in the conversation for player of the season.
He looked up for it today, which is more than Can be said for some of the others.Thought Thomas-Asante looked very bright when he came on . Would like to see him and Simms play as a two at some point
Apart from Eccles for Allen it was pretty much what we all thought wasn’t it? So much hindsight correctionHe looked up for it today, which is more than Can be said for some of the others.
Got to blame MR for that utterly baffling team selection.
If you’re talking about Thomas,he was signed from Burnley. Two out of our big three signings from Barnsley couldnt even make the bench today and the other one was really poor.

Rudoni…You’ve made palmer man of the match
What? Every caller in between an Ian... there's always shitloads of them!Boosh on CWR
I'd of started with Eccles and Palmer for Allen and Torp.Apart from Eccles for Allen it was pretty much what we all thought wasn’t it? So much hindsight correction
Asante at least tried to make runs , but we were far to slow all round played it like a pre season friendly, and we need to be more on the front foot Friday.Thought Thomas-Asante looked very bright when he came on . Would like to see him and Simms play as a two at some point
I'd of started with Eccles and Palmer for Allen and Torp.
Allen looks good in pre-season friendlies, but when the games start for real he can't cope with the physical side, he's a league 1 player at best, and shouldn't be anywhere near starting.
Torp has very good technical ability, but has yet to get up to the pace of the championship and doesn't look like he knows where he fits in.
Too many people on here slate Palmer, but he's 10 times the player Allen will ever be.
I wouldn't of played Palmer as a CDM, Eccles would of fulfilled that positionIm Palmers biggest fan but he’s not a CDM mate. I really don’t think you could call the team selection “utterly baffling” - we just weren’t at it today and deserved to lose

Not utterly baffling selection really. Utterly baffling performance though. He looked up for it today, which is more than Can be said for some of the others.

His concentration lets him down continually. We were poor today but would have drawn 0-0 but him switching off and not following a runner. The absolute stinker of a performance was Thomas, and by some way.
You can't play well if you don't have any control in midfield. Playing Allen and Torp together hands that control to the opposition. Not utterly baffling selection really. Utterly baffling performance though.
Eccles was poor when he came on. Maybe the answer is actually that we’re more short of what we need in the middle than we thought? You can't play well if you don't have any control in midfield. Playing Allen and Torp together hands that control to the opposition.
I don't want to labour the point, but Allen should not be in our squad, and Torp is nowhere near the pace of the championship at present.
This has been blatantly obvious for a while, so I was totally baffled that Eccles didn't start.
With so little control Sakamoto and EMC got far too little service, and Simms became a spectator.
