Currently, we have Lukas Jutkiewicz, Freddy Eastwood, Clive Platt and Roy O'Donovan as the strikers on our books. There have been rumours going around that Clive Platt could be heading back to MK Dons and Roy O'Donovan could be off to Hartlepool, which obviously would leave us with just Lukas and Freddy.
Now I know that Football Rumours is far from a concrete source, but there has been a few different people saying that we are set to complete the signings of Marlon Harewood and Zavon Hines within the next few days, subject to them passing medicals.
This may or may not be true, only Andy Thorn and the board will know. However, lets say this happens and we start the season with Jutkiewicz, Harewood, Hines and Eastwood. Would everyone be happy with this? Do you think that would be an effective strikeforce?

Hines might be a good signing but he has turned down a contract at West Ham? Don't think he would leave WHU for us to be honest

Agreed we r desperate but I don't think we will sign harewood,hines,earnshaw,nugent,Phillips or le fondre , I think fans need to lower their expectations so we are not disapointed yet again

Well if there's anythin in this story http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6995146,00.html that there is a "possibility" Barnsley could sign Le Fondre, surely we can compete with them resulting us having the "possibility" of signing him??

No saying he's an option Thorn is looking at, but if he is, surely we could offer more to him that Barnsley??

Barnsley seem to be spending more than usual, they had a couple of good signings by their standards last season as well.

Jukebox is the only decent one. What if Freddie of Juke were injured, we'd have to start with academy kids that aren't ready for first team yet or change the formation around to put Sheffs upfront leaving our lacking midfield vulnerable.

People are talking like we wont sign a single player! We're still only in June, players are still under contract until end of the month. Can we atleast wait until the start of the season to see who we have rather than presume we'll have our current squad minus tye out of contract players?
