I once played for West Wight under 14's in a cup semi final in front of a crowd of 25. Top that losers.

If sky blue kid had been telling the tale it would have been 10,000 watching.

Once played in a cup final for Ise Lodge Utd U14's at Kettering Town's ground in front of 200 people (or ws it 200,000?). Lost 2-0 and I was rubbish (same club that Sean Dyche played for as a kid - he lived round the corner from me, and went to same school. He was younger and better though!)

Never. I could easily have boasted that time I beat up Mike Tyson. Or the time I pulled both Kylie and Dannii in Oasis on the A46 back in '89. I'm not that kind of guy though.

Oi Torchy. When was the last time you embellished a story to make it sound more impressive eh eh

WHen I worked for Lunn Poly years ago (mid 80's maybe) we were in a football tournament and I played on the pitch at Kenilworth Road. That's as close I got to "real" football. I don't even think there were 25 there.

I'm struggling to see how a Cov Sporting vs a 3rd/4th division side would attract a bigger crowd than cities 3rd round tie at home against Norwich.

Give the guy a break. He spent 8 years in the entertainment field. Or the field of entertainment as it's sometimes known. Have some respect please.

When I was 15 I played for 'pick of the league' in a tournament in France. Was lucky enough to play against the academy sides from Dijon and St Etienne.

But the thing i most remember was during the communal lunch break held under the stand, a massive food-fight involving hundreds of teenagers from across Europe.

Also how on earth did Nuneaton & Bedworth get twinned with a place as nice as Roanne in France.

(I should probably also mention that i scored the winning penalty in the shoot-out in the final, but this thread doesn't seem the place to brag.....)

Surely you've not heard about Grenduffy bragging about being on 100k pa in a non qualified job?...Or is that another "Estimated Fact?"

No that's a fact - though bonuses were less this year - I'm on a downer.

You should have negotiated your international deals better.
Bonuses might have held up then. ;-)

What we've discovered.

We have no strikers.

Edjenguele is not a striker.

Sky Blue Kid has played in a semi final at the Maracana.

We might sign a bloke from Brentford.
