i put my ticket on my season ticket card but I know fans who downloaded a paper ticket. got me thinking, fans could just photocopy and hand to others and get priority. I wonder how the club will check? plus reckon we will be able to book online as season ticket holders or queue?

If it is from the print off it would be on their account in Ticketmaster wouldn't it?

They can just check the name on the ticket though and see if it matches the purchase history.

If its a print at home one.

then what would stop another person doing the same with duplicates? usually stubs they mark with a pen saying used for cup ticket

Apparently its 8 per season ticket holder - so none left for anybody else if we all buy 8 each

But then you have 7 spare tickets per ST don't you? You will pass/sell those to people without priority booking. Say for instance the demand is 40,000 the demand stays at 40,000, it doesn't increase dependant on how many tickets season tickets can buy, it just changes the way that people without priority get hold of them, through ST holders if its 8, in general sale if its 2 per ST.

Surely as the print offs have ticket numbers and names they can just link them back to the account that bought them? So if you went in with a copy of my ticket and you werent me you wouldnt get very far?

I will be desolate if i cannot get 4 tickets for the game, boys are JSB's so will be able to buy in the 2nd stage of priority and i hope to god there are some left!

It wont make that much of a difference, a ST holder is only going to buy 8 tickets if they know 7 other people that want a ticket, this will be very rare, and the 7 extras that they bring are then taken away from the General sale race for tickets. Tickets will make general sale and I would imagine will be on general sale for at least a week before selling out, just get yourself online when they do.

I'd have thought they'd accept either proper paper tickets or if it's an online purchase, a reference number they can verify.

Barnsley last year got 4 per season ticket holder.
Still though, that's 25,000 tickets. That Leaves 35,000 fans fighting over 15,000 tickets! Once they're gone that leaves 5000 season ticket holders with 4 spare tickets each for the remaining 20,000 to have bidding wars over!! I'll start mine at twice face value!

If you've got a print at home ticket it will be registered in your ticket account so they'll go off that not you physically showing someone the print out.

Surely that means 20,000 people wanting 20,000 available tickets? Ulness ST holders start a bidding war with their nearest and dearest it wont be a problem.

That's what we thought in 87. We did the maths and figured thousands would be left for sale to those with semi + quarter + 4 home stubs but thousands of tickets went to people before that so genuine fans like myself and 3 others who went to nearly every home+ a few away, missed out.

It was one of only a handful of seasons when we didn't have a season ticket as we were saving for a deposit on a house. Missed out so better be safe.
