Just got my response back from the League regards moving of grounds. It was as I suspected, they have to be within 30 minutes MUST be approved by the league, and MUST be a "temporary" measure - i.e must at some point move back to coventry.
Firstly Thanks Mr Pomfret for confirming what I thought. Secondly they will now have to look for grounds with minimum capacity of 5k within 30 miles.
So if we take ricoh as centre of radius, and for ease use a route planner (in miles)
Bescott - 27 miles
Villa - 20.7
Blues - 22.5
Fester - 24.3
Northampton - 34.4
Having said that not sure that now not using Ricoh, will coventry city fc be from Ryton? If it IS, then ......
Northampton - 25.8
Bescott - 36.9 (out of range)
Villa - 30
Blues - 23.2
Fester - 26.8
Might be other 5k+ seater stadia nearby, but not 100% sure.
The obvious choice is the bescott, but do they REALLY want to ground share with a company evicted for non-payment of rent?
What would be the use of signing a contract with sisu - they seem to think they aren't legally binding!
No I still say at the last minute, sisu will be forced to cave, or go away. ACL hold all the cards on this. Not going to go to the wall now, they have the law on their side, and even if they get another club crazy enough to accept a ground share with sisu, if you accept the polling that over 9s% just wont consider coventry city covetry city if it plays elsewhere, they are going to have a following in 3 digits!
They think it's all over, surely it is now!
