I don't disagree that we need better at centre back long term and arguably the same at left back . My point is we have enough cover currentlyI think we need ST and CM more than CB, so think we may be waiting to see who is available for loan. Although the Worrall links would suggest we're after something more permanent there.
I think this is another case of being lumbered with a player that we thought was going to be better than he’s so far turned out to be, as is the case with JDS.No CB?
Kitching was fine for a large chunk of the season. He finished the season poorly as did a lot of the squad .I think this is another case of being lumbered with a player that we thought was going to be better than he’s so far turned out to be, as is the case with JDS.
I don’t think Kitching has so far been the £4 mil League 1 star that he was expected to be and it’s meant we can’t sign a quality, experienced CB like Worrall or someone similar to bolster our defence as we’ve already tied up cash in Kitching and Lati.

I'd love to see Worrall in, the extra experience I think we need at CB. Too many goal-conceding errors there last season.I think we need ST and CM more than CB, so think we may be waiting to see who is available for loan. He seems to be getting burdened and judged on here because of the fee we paid , unfairly in my opinion
Think everyone is in the same boat, I haven’t seen any signings in the league that I’m jealous of.What a slow summer lol. We are in a good place though
They’ve signed Langstaff and Jensen, no?Imagine being a Millwall fan, a life where nothing ever changes, no excitement ever occurs and you always finish 12th-17th…

Pretty sure they have signed a new GK, Langstaff and made Tanganga permanentImagine being a Millwall fan, a life where nothing ever changes, no excitement ever occurs and you always finish 12th-17th…

He was more than good enough for a large part of the seasonI just don’t think he was that impressive when he did play. The fact we paid £4 mil for him just rubs salt in the wound, so far at least, maybe in time he’ll be amazing but based on last season I feel like we’ve overspent on him.
I would much rather have the experience and quality of Worrall than Kitching at this moment in time.
I think Norwich brought a 19 year old defender in aswell, Millwall have brought in Langstaff, Tanganga and a GK, but who'd want to play for Millwall? Shite club that do nothing, Norwich ain't a bad club to play for.Imagine being a Millwall fan, a life where nothing ever changes, no excitement ever occurs and you always finish 12th-17th…

True, sod Millwall they will probably be around midtable anyway and plus another 6 points off then again this yearYou may all be right, haven’t looked into it as I’m really not bothered who Millwall sign but just for reference I got the previous news off Sky, says it was updated last night at around 9pm, not sure if they’re right or not?

When he was playing well he didn't stand out because he was composed and rarely got caught out. A centre back constantly making last ditch tackles isn't necessarily a good signI do understand the criticism Kitching received, his ending to the season, particularly after the red card at Norwich, his level did drop. I have to say though that up until that point I thought he was absolutely excellent. Looked really composed on the ball, his emergency defending was really good and his reading of the game looked sound. Really hope he finds that level again.

i agree - im a little surprised everyone seems to be assuming Binks is the starter... im not sure its that clear cut...I do understand the criticism Kitching received, his ending to the season, particularly after the red card at Norwich, his level did drop. It's clear cut because Kitching is suspended. It's then Binks ' shirt to lose.i agree - im a little surprised everyone seems to be assuming Binks is the starter... im not sure its that clear cut...
Franco Baresi once said if I had to make a tackle i wasn't doing my job correctlyWhen he was playing well he didn't stand out because he was composed and rarely got caught out. A centre back constantly making last ditch tackles isn't necessarily a good sign
He has had one season, no need to write a player off. Shown good signs but lots of room for improvement. He'll improve again this season and become a quality, dependable CB.I think this is another case of being lumbered with a player that we thought was going to be better than he’s so far turned out to be, as is the case with JDS.

Luton want most of the money they will get for a new ground. Can't see them spending loads2 clubs you’d expect to be up there next year are Luton and Burnley. Luton have signed Baptiste on a free from Brentford and Burnley haven’t made any signings yet.
depends if it is themselves they are bailing out or someone else. When he was playing well he didn't stand out because he was composed and rarely got caught out. A centre back constantly making last ditch tackles isn't necessarily a good sign
Burnley have signed a Dutch right back and made two loans permanent (spending around £30m in the process).2 clubs you’d expect to be up there next year are Luton and Burnley. Luton have signed Baptiste on a free from Brentford and Burnley haven’t made any signings yet.
High ceiling thoughBinks is flavour of the month but it is recency bias at play - earlier on in the season he was poor at times, often getting dragged all over the place. Both players have got things they can work on.
We're all bored and want a signing but there will be work going on. I'm sure we'll sign the required 2/3 first team quality players we need.He has had one season, no need to write a player off. Shown good signs but lots of room for improvement. He'll improve again this season and become a quality, dependable CB.
In a perfect world, we would have a 4th CB but since we have Lati, I'm happy.

Just going to comment he looks leaner, perhaps penny dropping for him. Agree Xmas purple patch he was excellent, just dropped off like many.I think Kitching has the potential to be a very good defender, lower league prem. With the right coaching. And to be fair looking at training pics I think he's lost a fair bit of weight? So maybe that was part of it.
