Worrall is off to Burnley.Surprise signing number 1
few more pls
Appreciate it mate. Truly in love with this club. I got family in the agency world so I can drop a few tidbits. Im just another poster but probably as good of a scout as you'll find on here.I like him . He's quite a passive poster who obviously is a massive City fan .
I remember the days when I was obsessive about football
Im always very interested in what you have to say. Keep it coming !Appreciate it mate. Truly in love with this club. I got family in the agency world so I can drop a few tidbits. Im just another poster but probably as good of a scout as you'll find on here.
Up until last summer £2 million was the most we’d spent on a player since returning to this league.by the way, £2M for a player isn’t a ‘significant fee’, it’s probably the equivalent to a £200K player 20 years ago
Agree to a point. Palmer offers something different especially from the bench so unless silly money is offered I would keep. Looking for abilities to perform at a higher level Allen would be first midfielder out. I would keep though until RB cover is also sorted as if you get a new midfielder, MVE gets injured so Eccles has to cover there, we are getting down to bare bonesWhy would you 'ideally' see Palmer go out? He's getting minutes, so if he goes we'll need a replacement (and I don't think this Norman fella is a replacement for him).
I'd rather sign a CM and move Allen on than a backup 10 to move Palmer out.
If we don’t go up we will easily make up the shortfall next summer from a minimum of Sheaf, MVE and Simms.Seriously though, I always thought we had some money to spend this summer. It's the season to make a real play, the league is weaker despite some of the crap posted, the owner and the manager see it too.
I didn't see this one coming but looks a great pickup. Expect to see 2 more in more needed positions.

Don't sound good.Links not working for some reason but it was a tweet from Obikwu. Text is:
‘Minor setbacks, major comebacks. I will continue to put my faith and trust in God through the difficult times and through the good times but I still believe everything happens for a reason‘

Even more mad that there are still posters on here that are sceptical / unconvinced about King…….Mad to think……The summer window where the only permanent transfer we could do was Palmer (for undisclosed £) …… That was just 2 years ago
Might seem too good to be true for some. I can’t really fault the guy so far.Even more mad that there are still posters on here that are sceptical / unconvinced about King…….

Surely, surely this signing indicates we have others lined up, they know we are short?!If he gets us in the CM and defender we need then my doubts will have been dispelled
Is this you admitting that you might, just might, stop moaning? If he gets us in the CM and defender we need then my doubts will have been dispelled
Starting to look like the CDM could be a loaneeI’d love us to sign a CDM and a right back but with one week left I think a bigger priority is now not losing one of our key players with little time to replace ……
I do think we will bring in two more. Hopefully a centre half and a centre mid. Could do with decent backup to MVE too.
But I’d be happy with two more and delighted with three
Cheaper boxes too!If he gets us in the CM and defender we need then my doubts will have been dispelled
I know posters think we could make a real go of it this year and I hope we do, but also the kind of signings we’re making don’t seem like short term solutions. So if it doesn’t work out this season, we can still have most of these players here next. The ones that aren’t here anymore won’t be sold for peanuts either.
Nothing in his tenure so far has suggested the slightest risk being takenThese signings are fantastic and I'm sure it's all ok, but I sort of would like Doug to reassure everyone that all this money being spent is accounted for and we're not overspending trying to reach the promised land. It probably won't happen, but I would like it to. We've had our fair share of homelessness and financial ruin. No more please.
As stated before just before I lost my info, Palmer and his agent refused to sign a new contract as they have a vastly inflated view of how good Palmer is
Contract was withdrawn
I'm pretty certain he will be sold, this Bassette can play in the 10 if needed as can Rudoni, Torp and EMC.
Palmer doesn't fit here anymore
I just don't see him leaving without a replacement. If this guy is the replacement, then that's fair enough.
He’s invested the vast majority of the income we secured for vik and Hamer when he could have simply pocketed it. That in itself is a calculated gamble with the pay off coming if we get promoted.Nothing in his tenure so far has suggested the slightest risk being taken
His writing and narrating is a lot more entertaining than his football!Did your sleep coach recommend it?
He kind of already has. He has said several times we will be self sustaining and have no real debt. These signings are fantastic and I'm sure it's all ok, but I sort of would like Doug to reassure everyone that all this money being spent is accounted for and we're not overspending trying to reach the promised land. We are replacing a spot on the bench lets be honest. If everyone is fit Palmer doesnt start and he is a highly paid impact sub right nowI just don't see him leaving without a replacement. If this guy is the replacement, then that's fair enough.
