Chair is most likely not going to jail even with a conviction. He currently needs to serve 12 with 12 months suspended so only 12, and since belgiums prisons are overcrowded, convicted with sentences of 12 months or less just won’t ever serve it and will most likely pay a fine or serve house arrest/supervised probation.

Bit like here then?

An experienced and dominant centre half will be our most important signing of the Summer IMO. Scoring goals wasn’t the problem last year but far too many errors leading to goals cost us. The signing of Pontus Jansson finally got Brentford over the line. I’d love someone like Dael Fry at Boro but doubt he’d be available.

McNair? Freebie.

Plenty of players knocking about looking for clubs and im sure we will get a few good calls from agents. A few names mentioned already could be good additions, Browne or Swift would be good options for that CM role we need that older head. I think we need that type at CB as well, McNair, Cooper or unlikely Kipre would be good pick ups

Mix them with some younger players and we will be ok. I like M Leonard and Diarra.

Either way im sure Robins is in contact with Doug and Austin about all possibilities. And im sure talks have been well under way with a few named and unnamed that have been earmarked.

What? Wright played in a World Cup.
Yeah exactly, that’s the sort of player we should continue to get, not league 1 hopefuls. No doubt that some players from league 1 teams go on to be amazing but it’s few and far between.

All of the signings this season that turned out to be poorer for us have been from league 1 teams. Just my personal opinion we should continue to look at European leagues rather than the likes of Bolton, Peterborough, Oxford etc etc.

Fans after Kastaneer and Dacosta: No more players from Europe!

Fans after Waghorn: No more experienced pros

Fans after Kitching and Collins: No more L1 players

Wonder who is next?
The lads from league 1 come out of that looking pretty good in comparison. Think the writing off of Kitching in particular is a weird one, he was rubbish at the end of the season but who wasn't?

I do see that argument Tom, probably wrong but I definitely think the price we paid has some sort of effect on the thinking behind Kitching

for that sum of money I expect one of the best Centre backs in the division, I definitely think he can get to those levels but needs improvement

Think we need to live in the real world if we think £4 million will get us one of the best in the league straight off the bat. Some of the money that changes hands in this division now is mad and the squads of relegated teams cost obscene amounts of money.

Yeah fair enough comment, who’s buying Centre half in this division for 4 and a half million though?
