We've never been in for him don't even know where that came from

Someone said it once on Twitter and it went from there

The one we have first refusal on is Kyprianou
Latest one is a guy claiming we agreed a 3.5 million deal for burrows now and he has 'contacts working for the club'....

Wouldn't mind windass at all but for 2 years max with an option for a third. Don't need this turning into a Waghorn.

I usually rate your other suggestions but I really don’t want Windass for any length of time, let alone 2 years. I think he’s of a similar talent to Godden and seems the type to be making noises behind the scenes if he isn’t playing. Really think we have to do better than Windass, he’s not going to get us into the prem imo.

Yeah me too , Windass would be good backup but we've been there before . We need all players pushing for a start
Thing is nobody is dislodging Simms and even if he got injured we'd move Haji central. I think we need someone as quality cover but importantly someone who will take being on the bench a lot.

Windass could work but I'd rather a younger player with potential

Same, if we’re going to be paying wages we might as well have someone that we can turn a profit on in a few years or someone that can become Simms if we sell him. Don’t need another Godden situation wherein the player is getting worse and adding negativity to the squad by being annoyed they’re not starting every week.

Think we will need to shift some out as well soon, which will also free up some wages, so at the end of the month
Liam Kelly, Simon Moore, Dermi Lusala and Bradley Stretton were removed from the wage bill, and Marcus Rus has now left as well. We presume O'Hare will be going, there are strong suspicions Godden and Wilson will be leaving, and question marks over Bidwell. There are some large wages we will be saving, which will obviously help in recruitment as well. The squad as it stands including u21 players gives us at least 3 players competing for each position (or 5 goalkeepers - Wilson, Collins, Tyler, Bell, Rachel) we do need to improve squad quality but need to move on players off the wage bill, and create some space in the squad as well, I appreciate some of the youngsters will hopefully get loan opportunities as well.
Personally I would like to see a Goalkeeper and Midfielder as a priority, and then reinforcements down the right hand side - cover RB and RW and potentially (Bidwell depending) then the left hand side, leaving potentially a Godden replacement and a more experienced CB and CM as nice to haves
