Weird situation, with Forest reported financial constraints why would they sign a player to loan him straight to Olympiacos. Whole thing stinks.

Well let's see what gets officially released. But the same owner at both clubs.

From reading, they can basically sign him for 4m on a 4 year deal, charge Olympiacos a 1m loan fee and due to amortisation the fee for this year is nil
Pretty much correct. Do a loan fee to cover any transfer fee and it technically costs them nothing for a year

Assuming Olympiacos pay his salary this is correct. There will be of course the agent fee but I’m not sure of the accounting treatment for that.

So basically Forest didnt need to sign him. They just did it because they could
No they did it because they think he has the potential to be a Premier league player; but not next season.

Every club does this in different ways.

would love to see us go for midfielder Marcel Hartel from FC St. Pauli, hes now out of contract, their top scorer (21 goals / 37 games)

I like the look of Ibrahim Olawoyin (26 years old) in the turkish league he plays for Caykur Rizespor, he’s a CM (no.8) with the ability to play CAM and LW, majority appearances as an 8, ball progression numbers are impressive and is all round good on the ball can pass the ball really well, good dribbler and most importantly good tackler and defensive work

Please give us something! The kit, a signing, the sponsor, anything!!!! It's driving me mad!

There is the Euros. Just think what it would be like if there was no major tournament. But they do have a knock on effect to the transfer market early doors. Especially Prem and Championship level.

The problem we have now as a top half Championship side, is it is harder to get early business done. The market for quality is more competitive.

Obviously more teams want players of higher quality but having a little bit of money to spend makes things a lot easier. Might be a few bargains to be had coming up to the P&S deadline.

I think there’s been Soton interest for a while so wouldn’t be surprised.
Southampton supporters main ITK has come out and said they aren't interested now they've gone up.

Apparently O'hare was down there in January talking to Martin and got a tour of facilities etc though

I do think Browne, Leonard and Barron have been offered deals at the club. We would be very unlucky to miss out of all 3, so id expect 1 of those to get or already be done. But 1st announcement i think will be the coach or a new sponsor.

Be good if this was true as we haven’t been solidly linked to anyone being imminent other than Stamenic which now looks dead. So could be a couple of surprises which would be nice. I reckon a CB will be one of them
