How brilliant would it be for all our permanent signings to be done before August.

Its all gone quiet on that Scandinavian keeper though.

If he does go to another championship side then it shows all he's arsed about his money and can't see him getting a great reception on his return

Remember he wanted to go to Burnley before he got injured. Not going begrudge him and he’s played a role for us but his not critical to our play anymore. Wish him well, but we will finish above Leeds.

Kaine Kesler-Hayden on a loan maybe even with a buy option just seems too perfect, from Villa too, really hope the club are looking at him, class player. A permanent LB is needed but would be insane if we can loan in Owen Beck, class as well. Luke Chambers would be great at LB too, top level performances for Wigan. Dexter Lembikasa and Jaden Katongo would also be good RB cover. My top two being Hayden and Beck, but realistically Hayden and Chambers.
Good shout, but I think we'll need to off load Dasilva first.

Where is the money coming from? - record st sales etc helps but are we spending Gyokeres sell on money before weve got it? (we may well know its happening in which case thats fine).
Sheaf sale perhaps???
Or has Doug got deeper pockets than we think, or maybe he has a secret backer?

The Gyok transfer could potentially cover the 3 signings we've made so far, so it could be that we still have some cash available for this window, and are investing money on players we intend to sell in a couple of years if we fail to go up.

I wonder if a good pre season from Howley and he gets a chance back on the bench, or whether he'll be loaned off again.
He's been written off by lots on here but I wouldn't be surprised to see him continue to develop and get back on the first team scene

Very intelligent player

Can't see him getting on the bench tbh.
We've got plenty of cover now with, Sheaf, Eccles, Torp, Rudoni, Palmer and Allen.

Looks like another loan may be the way to go.

Seems a good guy but why do footballers who struggle to get minutes then choose a club where guess what they will struggle to get minutes ???

Ego ? Poor advice ? Money ?

You see it time and time again ….

Unless Sunderland are preparing to cash in on their keeper

Would rather a youngster get a regular spot on the bench over Allen. Think he's one along with Godden that needs to be moved on.

Disagree fully. Allen is a very good squad player. One of the few who makes runs in to the box and also has a lot of energy. Howley offered zero in his time here and on loan
And he has a goal in him!

Will we managed to get a

GK
CB
CM
ST

In before the season starts?

Surely everyone would be pleased with those 4 permanents and then maybe a loan or two to supplement should the right ones become available.
