No, just so many new players getting used to each other. You also had players joining from abroad, it takes time for them to sort things out for themselves and family. Also getting up to speed with English football.

In my career I have moved location various times. You can be happy but it always takes longer than you think to really settle in a new location. The transitional period of living in a hotel and looking for your own accomodations is a ball ache. If you have kids it is even more complex.

Few fans think of footballers as people with lives. They are just their Saturday football robots who just live in a Sky Blue Shirt.

The interview with the Performance Director touches on the levels of support you have to give people to perform at their best.

The lengths the British Olympic Cycling team go to, so athletes can perform at the best is an eye opener. They organize everything for them. If they are competing abroad they will even ship their bed from home to the training camp; if it means they get a good night's sleep and produce performances.

Okay interesting, can I ask you, what teams did you play for, you don't have answer if you don't want to. 😎

I didn't play for teams. It was just moving around the country with my job and developing my career.

But I have known a lot of professional footballers and athletes over the years. They all say fans only see a quarter of what it is like to be a professional sportsman. Fans see the Saturday match day moments and not the Monday to Friday grind at the office.

Training in Kent ! Why not at a Ryton ?

Okay the penny has just dropped, he lives in Kent. 🙈

Will add that Ryton is probably closed and there is noone there to supervise/act as first aid etc.

But yeah, his family is from down there and he probably knows the coaching centre already.

No daily picture from the Cov admin, perhaps saving it for a cheeky signing layer?

Only one pic yesterday too.

And they never got back to me about any Two-Tone retro shirt restocking. No way I'm fitting into a Youth shirt. I'd struggle with a 3XL these days :D

We got anything from the right honourable Alan Nixon on us today? Love debunking him on a Sunday morning
Yes. Nixon tipped us for Rudoni. Where did he end up ?

Nixon said Sheaf was wanted by Luton, which you confirmed.

it’s not really classic debunking is it 😂

Maybe the fee might come down as they get closer to their FFP deadline ….. our new COO is ex Forest so he will have a good idea of the value the club place on Worrall
Think deals need to be done by 30th June to help with FFP

If we do bring Worrall in, you'd expect ons of Latibeaudiere, Thomas or Kitching to leave surely?

Thomas is clearly the better player with a higher ceiling, amd we spent 4 million quid on Kitch so I'd suggest Lats

Agreed.

Worrall is right footed so really it’s Thomas or Lati unless Robins feels he wants 5 ….. I don’t think you bring Worrall in to sit on the bench though ….

which i wouldn’t be disgruntled at.

Good player for versatility and squad depth. But screams Jack of all trades but master of none.

Certainly makes me nervy when he starts at either CB or RB. Doesn’t have much presence and an easy target for the attacking team
