We did, but a fair bit of that went on Ryton, a good couple of million has been invested there. Apparently it's a lovely little place now
You know what work has actually been done to the buildings at all @Saddlebrains ? It's sounded like the buildings will be upgraded gradually over the next few years. Notice a few big cranes on the images on the far side of the far pitch. Don't know if that is on the site or not though.

Can't believe I of all people am saying this, but be patient

Godden to Charlton is done, as I say we needed to start getting people out aswell as in, FFP is a thing in this league and I wouldn't be surprised if we weren't far off breaching it

I'd expect to see confirmation of ins after July 1st
Some people on here think we can just splash the cash and upgrade every position. Bidwell, Eccles, Godden, Tavares, Kitching and Lati need upgrading along with our other centre backs and goalies according to some, We need a new right sided player for cover and a better centre mid I keep hearing. Some will be addressed but not all by a long shot. We have a good squad that needs to evolve with some sensibly priced additions.
Clubs get around FFP by spreading costs over four years in our case and in some cases six in the Prem.

That looks so much better

The building itself has has had a refit inside hasn't it?

New roof and windows aswell, it's got to have cost a good few million quid

Training ground looks fantastic, just having proper facilities and nice surroundings like that will help attract the kind of players we want. Are they updating the building the itself? Its always looked a bit dark and cramped inside.

Can't be bothered to check - does investment in infrastructure count towards sustainability rules in the championship? Doesn't usually (at least not in full).

Sure she mentioned that they were having a brand new gym and equipment installed for this season. And i beleive Doug planned to add a tier to the existing building too longer term

Looks amazing to be fair credit where it’s due. Gone are the days of Len on the gate trying to stop fans going down the drive.

Jim the Gateman was chief informant for a few ITK's

I can remember going down there as a kid and he just got overwhelmed everyone just started walking down towards the lodge mid training session and asking players for autographs. Strachan was fuming.

After so many years of shit dare I say we are starting to look like a professional outfit.

he's had 2 injuries skippy, 1 a freak injury against Wrexham and the other when he got kicked for skinning too many Man United players.

hardly his fault
Love the agenda on here. The guy got hacked down by two man utd players and carried on, probably making the injury worse and at the time we were all gutted he was coming off because he was our only outlet at the time.

But nah he's a sicknote get rid 🤣

Yeah he's not good enough, as evidenced by his scoring rate despite playing many games out of position, and being second only to Van Ewijk for the time he was on the pitch against Man U. I just don't get the agenda on here against him.

Tip of the hat to King on this one, he cant be accused of not adding value or understanding the business in my opinion. Still has work to do on certain others things but the transformeration at the club is night and day from his 1st day at the club.

Plenty more to do but he will leave the club in a way better place than he found it. The players will think they drove into the wrong place and new players will expect a standard before they kick a ball. Very impressive.

Anyone know if we’ve ever signed someone on a Sunday? If not then I’m guessing the GIMOC rollercoaster has once again derailed. All this talk of Turkish geezers and 25 year old strikers…

(Anyone got that rollercoaster meme btw?) 😂
