Just had a look at Championship incoming and outgoings this season. As of today every team has reduced their squad size some by only 1 player, Burnley, Watford, Oxford and Plymouth. But others have reduced so far by huge numbers. Leeds 16 players down, Hull 15 players down, WBA 10 players, Blackburn, Sunderland, Luton 8 players, Stoke, Swansea, Norwich 7 players.

It makes you wonder on how they can field a competitive team and certainly squad based on those numbers. Yes, they can recruit in the next few weeks but it will take time to settle in.

I am positive we can get off to a good start this year.

For context, Leeds have only lost 2 of their first 11 and have added Rothwell. With the exception of Hull most teams have just been losing squad players or players that were out on loan last year anyway.

Yeah Leeds have only lost Kamara and Gray who played last season and the same can be said for the other teams.

Hull are going to spend, they’ve brought in some huge fees, they’ll be competitive.

Interesting how many squad players they could afford to maintain and loan out akin to Chelsea really

There’s an account on X saying we have wrapped up one more signing that is due to be announced soon and that the recording is done. Not sure how real that is.

Hate to bring up old names but feel marc leonard could do us a job as a back up number 6. Apparently Brighton thinking to sell and not asking for more than 500K. Still young and did good last year.

I really want us to get Bernede he would flourish in our team, I would love to know how far our interest has gone, I read we've made contact with his entourage but so far that's it, has anyone heard anymore on this?

Ryan Wintle strangely transfer listed by Cardiff. Played 40 odd games for them, only just turned 27, would be a quality addition.
My Cardiff scout’s Ryan Wintle report is in

Summary: ”yeah, he’s alright. He’s like Joe Ralls”.

Transcript:-
Me: “is he better than Ben Sheaf”?
Scout: “no”.
Me: “is he better than Torp”?
Scout: “no”.
Me: “is he better then Jeccles”?
Scout: “He’s like a substandard Jeccles. He’s like Joe Ralls”.

And so concludes my Ryan Wintle scouting report.

Bernede and Alvyn Sanches are both starting for Lausanne this afternoon. So a deal isn't imminent. They are owned by INEOS so don't need to sell to survive.
They signed Bernede for €2M a couple of years back, so I think it will take €4-5M to get him.

Looking at his highlights he a ball winne, sets of attacks and is a good passer of the ball , I think with the players we got he would be an excellent signing for us.

We were willing to spend quite a bit for Stemenic, around the 4-5 million mark if I remember correctly, then why not spend that on a player of his quality? Dovin played for Hammarby during the process of us buying him.

Yep, I live in Cardiff and go to games and Wintle is third choice behind ralls and siopis. He's Mr sideways and going because he's not good enough for them.

I’ve probably seen him a few times too over the years but can’t think of any stand out performances.

I think they’ve done alright so far this window. Willock and Chambers could be great signings.

Chambers looks a good signing but Nat Phillips gone back to Liverpool. Willock likely to be a good upgrade on josh bowler who was useless, but they've lost karlan grant who was one of their better players last season. Their big problem is strikers and they haven't sorted that yet.
