That Patrick Berg guy looks cracking tbf, has he been linked with us? Think he’s the pick of the bunch if so.
No he hasn't. He moved away from Norway once and it didn't work out for him. Could probably try again but he might not want to. Madsen is more interesting imo.

Both would be good signings. Berg is the best player in Norway and top 5 for the national team, however questions arise about his mentality as he left before trying to break through competition at RC Lens to go back home. Think both would be cracking signings, Berg might just be too expensive.

No he's not been linked but just mentioned on here, Berg looks class mate wins the ball, passing is really good and scored some quality goals.

In fairness players like Berg, Bernede and Madsen would be brilliant for us, either of them 3 plus an experienced CB and, if we're able to, a RB.... We get that and our squad will be unbelievable, we will win the league not joke

Ah fairs, does look good though, nice neat touches disrupting the oppositions play and good long range passing from the limited highlights I’ve briefly looked at.

Would be very happy with Madsen too though, and given the choice I’d probably rather have Madsen for £2 mil less and spend the leftover on Camara at RB.

I followed a few players from that Bodo team that did well. I thought Berg would do well in France, the fact he didn't makes me think he might just like the comforts of home. Shame though as he's wasted in that league.

We are moving so different to what I've ever known tbh , if we get a top midfielder in do people think we can push ..

For the first time ever I really don't know what to expect this season
Hinges on whether or not the defence can sort itself out.

El-Hadji Malick Diouf who was at Tromso last season before unfortunately moving to Slavia Prague. Would have been one heck of an LB prospect.

Can change with age, though. I remember when Barry Ferguson moved to Blackburn fairly early in his career, then shortly left as he was ‘homesick’. And that was only 3 hours down the road!

Anyway, fast forward 2 years and he ends up at Birmingham.

Seems McNally is available from Burnley. Would still like to see us in for him. Gives us more aerial presence and speed. It's ruthless but he's better than Lati and probably Thomas I think.

We do need another Centre Half, McNally would be a good addition to the Squad.

Someone needs to have a word with he's Agent and tell him to hang on until we get the Money from the Gyokeres and Hamer add-ons, then we can Gazump Stoke City and Bristol City. 😂😂😂

But in a 3. And with McFadz guiding him and Doyle.
Acknowledge there is an element of this. But think he helped them out with his pace as well. Last summer I think it was generally thought Thomas was the cheaper option who was possibly a year behind McNally in terms of development. Personally still think McNally looked better.
He was horrendous for Stoke apparently in a back 4
Not sure how much this is just Stoke fans being idiots. Come the end of the season he was playing well hence they seem to want him permanently now it seems.

XI: Dovin, Bidwell, MvE, Thomas, Kitching, Sheaf, Eccles, Rudoni, Wright, Saka, Simms

Subs: Collins, Lati, Binks, Dasilva, Torp, Palmer, BTA, EMC

Sexy football.

Whether that is peoples starting XI or not is somewhat irrelevant but I've listed 8 subs. Who misses out the match squad? If Torp starts it's easy, Eccles to the bench (covers RB & DM) and Lati out.

A nice problem to have, made harder if we do get that C(D)M.

You’re allowed 9 subs

Quick-ish, carried the ball ok but some very cumbersome passing at times. His physicality is his biggest asset but I prefer Thomas.

No ones going to pay 15 m for a player in the last year of his contract, if they wanted to cash in they would need to this year, but if we are serious about promotion we need to keep our best players.
We got near £15m for Hamer and over that amount for Gyokeres. Both in their final year of contract.
