It’s a very small sample, but through the games this season it’s glaringly obvious we need another midfielder and I would have said this even before the football started. Would leave us horribly light and struggling for top 6 without further depth. Even worse with losing Palmer.

Thinking out loud here, but why would anyone at the club take time out of their day to give Turner live updates about incomings when clearly they're preoccupied, nor likely want to even humour him.

At best I'd say he's hours behind the actual state of play.

Circumstance, timing & maybe poor planning. It's not just about today, they've had the whole window. Would be happy with loan or transfer.

Is Alzate still available? Maybe one we could go for even after the window closes.

So have all the other teams doing deals today. I think it is down to agents rather than clubs.

Seems like there is a bit of an over reaction on here and other platforms, if we don’t sign a CM today I’m confident it’s not been for the lack of effort.

Reality is the club will want a player with the right profile, age, potential and quality - adding any old CM really isn’t going to help us.

We’ll all be disappointed and I’m sure none more than the Gaffer, but I’d rather we wait and pick the right one up in January then purchase the wrong one now.

Also, the free transfer market remains open beyond the window closing tonight so there maybe a player within that or who comes available later which the club fancies.

And he wonders why he gets stick of posters
I often wonder who the fuck he thinks he's reporting to. If he's getting his info off Internet resources, then it's already in the public domain.

By the time he's fact checked and confirmed any info it's already hours old.

So in all honestly, what's the fucking point?

Thank you for such a levelled and balanced post .
I would also add we would still have Andrews and Dausch to use in the short term . Both have been said to have a big future so who knows

Well billing is a Premier league footballer that would transform our midfield playing alongside sheaf .

We'd become a very strong candidate for top 6 immediately
I think this is how we will be doing business over the coming seasons .
We need to get used to seeing these sort of deals proposed
