Like I said, that's fine. People just use it to let Dovin off the hook a bit though. He's been a poor signing so far and there would be a lot more focus on him if we didn't have another keeper people like to have a go at.

I actually think Dovin is one of the better signings and will be a pretty good keeper

The question of if he can come good is entirely possible given his age, but so far he has been pretty poor overall. He doesn't really demonstrate an upgrade on what we've already got at this moment in time.

I feel that but it’s not like anyone is shinning themselves in glory this season outside of maybe Eccles.

Hard to have decent performances at goalie anyway when your teams mates seem insistent on giving the opposition 1 one 1 chances every ten seconds

I think he’s ok now. Wilson is a terrible goalkeeper and takes me back to the early 2000 period of Shearer Hlydegard and that French clown.

When a new manager arrives Wilson will be nowhere near the squad again

I fancied us to bounce back in this one and us to bag at least a draw.

But that was with MR in charge.

Now it's someone on a computer screen playing Sensible Soccer, I think we will lose. Just hope it's not too badly

Well there's an even bigger surprise in the 11 tomorrow that will be the cherry on the top for a lot of people
My initial thought was Collins in goal, and your reactions seem to suggest that is indeed it.

Expecting the worst and hoping for the best. Unfortunately the match in some people’s eyes will be insignificant because of the last couple of days. A tonking may well be on the cards but in true Coventry City style I’m expecting us to win! 😁
Exactly my feelings. I was really looking forward to this one as it’s the kind of game we often pull out a stellar performance but it’s now overshadowed by the politics.

I’d love to skip it but won’t. This will all eventually become a sad part of the bigger story. The only thing I know for sure is there will never be a Doug King statue outside our stadium.

Might be if Bloomfield wins us the champions league in 5 years time

just a thought, will any robins related flags/banners etc be removed at our next home game? will they be that petty?

It will be interesting going forward as I think the players have been shielded somewhat from the fans by the respect (wanky word but can't think of another) we had for Robins (no booing at 2 down against Luton, only a few boos on Wednesday night etc.) and with him no longer there I expect they might get a bit more of the brunt of fans frustrations than they have previously.

Think it might be an eye opener to one or two.

p.s. regardless of what has gone on, based on form alone Sunderland at 23/20 (won 5 and drew 1 of their last 6 home games) seems massively overpriced to me!!

I’ve heard this season alone robins had had bust ups with Sheaf, Kitching, Thomas, Bassette, Simms, Collins, Dovin and Bidwell

Possibly but maybe with good reason? What is a bust up? Lots of people on here have glorified Adi Viveash's hard-line approach with players!

You have come out with an emotive statement which is backed up with no evidence. I hear all sorts of things and know most of it is rubbish. It's just emotional noise and somebody's theory who knows nothing.

This is fair. So far I only really hold him accountable for the joke of a goal at PNE, for the most part his teammates hang him out to dry.

He has got to communicate with his defence though, and at least try to command his box. He hides on the goalline all too often.

Definitely needs to communicate and be a bit braver. Seems silly that he was put in the deep end as a young lad, in a brand new country.

Think he’ll be a good Gk but think the club need to be careful not to break his confidence at a young age

He’ll be good for someone else years from now. Spending millions on a young keeper has failed for so many teams over the years.

It did sweet fuck all for Burnley last season as the most recent example.

I don’t know, think he’ll be good this season or worst case next year just needs to get to know his defence and get a bit more comfortable here.

James Trafford tho was bizzare, had a good U21 World Cup following a decent year at Bolton in league one and suddenly was a number one in the premiership. Bizzaro land

Like a lot of our signings they will get this club relegated, piss off immediately for much less than they cost and probably set the world alight having got their mistakes out their system.
