Just seen the highlights. How on earth are people complaining about Collins for their second? Maybe Binks should have tried to put a tackle in. Or maybe one of the other three defenders around him.
I thought this, as it was struck with real venom, and moved like a knuckleball.

Who was it that deflected the pass to the unmarked Sunderland player in the box, at 2-1? That effectively stopped it being 3-1, and game over.

I can’t fecking see who it is on the highlights, I’ve bust my specs. 🤣

You referring to the clearance in the 6 yard box?
Yeah, there was a kerfuffle in our box, the ball was dropping nicely for their player (not sure who) but Lati swung his foot up and blocked it pretty much spot on. Then it dropped to another Sunderland player who had a shot right at Collins, who did a weird block/punch with both hands.

Yeah, almost certainly a goal without his intervention.

The block was hard to see properly facing towards our goal, as it looked initially like their player had skied it from 6 yards. Only on the highlights, from the camera behind our goal, can you actually see what a good intervention it was from Lati.

Siimms getting no time is a strange one. Asante was poor as you say.
Probably travelled in the hope he would be fit but ultimately wasn't. No-one else to replace him with though (given we had 2 development goalies on the bench) and rather than have an empty space put Simms there and the opposition might be a bit worried about him coming off the bench?

Although you might argue the ball didn't go in the corner, I don't think Collins positioning was terrible as if it had been hit towards the other corner he'd have struggled to get across.

He was definitely surprised by just how fast the ball was travelling though, as I think we all were. Even the camera was slow picking it up.

100% agree, it was a piledriver of a shot and Collins can’t really be blamed for it.

Was a fantastic strike from the lad Cirkin.

If Dovin was in goal those same people would be blaming a dodgy bounce or the ball boys for unnecessarily interfering with his concentration.

Our whole goalkeeping situation, and the fans interpretation of them is interesting to say the least.

Because they slated Wilson for the Sheff Wed goal which was hit with the same force within the area and maybe people think it was at a good height and only just to his right so could maybe have got a hand to it if he was set right.

It was nowhere near the corner.

If that shot was like 12 yards out or something then yeah no chance. But from 25 yards he's got to be doing better.

Excellent goal saving block/tackle after Torp's dodgy backpass though.
