Remember the newspaper article years and years ago that said, 'What is the point of Coventry City?'

It caused a right outrage.
But now, it's time to raise the question again.
What is Coventry City ? What is our ambition ?

It looks to me that Coventry City is SISU.
The ambition is financial gain and nothing at all to with football.

Don't blame Pressley or the players, the problems start at the top !

Did not that article get the response of what is the point of the author? Can't now remember his name; worked on the Telegraph I think.

It isn't just today -- I blame SISU 100% because since they "saved" us from adminstration there has been a steady decline. Had we gone into Admin I'm sure another investor would have come in and bought CCFC Ltd.

Completely agree and that is exactly why I now say walk away Shitzu. At the end of the day they now have absolutely nothing to sell so go and let others pick up the pieces.

I'm going to go against the grain here.

We have a good squad, but as a team, we are pathetic. We have good individuals, but we don't know how to use this.

Who's to blame for this?

So, what you are saying is that SP has lost the dressing room???

Not sure if that's to me but I honestly don't know any more :(

We have a good result vs PBoro, and a good first half vs Orient. Then get humiliated against Worcester. I didn't go, but I imagine 1-2 is a complement to Cov?

If it was not for a few good saves from alsop then 4-1 would of been fair to worcester

So because we had 2 good halves this season means we have good players:thinking about:

Sorry if they were any good shouldn't matter who is managing them IMO

Worked for a few managers who were wankers/no good at there job but always gave my best.

Good squad ? If you were there today ,you got stuck in the bar ! Basic skills lacking ,over hit passes ,no movement off the ball , players blind to players in position , no effort , no balls ! And Barton , haven't seen this chap since he was binned before , he was aweful . Two decent footballers on show in our team and both were elevated to the first team from the youth because our first team squad is so poor . Haynes and Maddison. Both will probably go when their contracts finish.

To be fair, we have played well on occasions this season - we were excellent against Yeovil, were decent first half at Swindon and played well against both Sheff Utd and Barnsley.

Don't get me wrong, the squad is seriously lacking (clearly), but I think there are some decent individuals and I don't buy into the idea we are nailed on for relegation.

That was an example that we have the ability in the squad.

With regards any good etc. Weren't Fulham for example bottom of the championship under that Felix, now they are turning the season around? With the same players?

Exactly my point. But some can't see beyond that.

"What's the point of Coventry City" I believe was said by Rodney Marsh on Sky Sports, caused outrage on various local websites but becoming unfortunately hard to argue with now.

No, it was said in a newspaper column, can't now remember the name of the author but it did result in excreta being posting through his letter box.

Sorry I have been going up for over 40 seasons this is by far the worst team we have EVER had.

So lets sack SP bring in a new manager (WHO) then if he doesn't do any good in 6 games do a Leeds and sack him.

We can then all say but they weren't his players.

I'm not disputing that, but we shouldn't be 19th with the players we do have IMO. 10th to 12th IMO at least

As has been said before the table doesn't lie. We are where we are at the moment because we're shit that of course could change either we'll be less or more shit we will see which one it is.

Seriously?
We had a far better team last season and still would have only finished 10th without the minus 10 points.

We have no decent strikers no goalkeeper and the midfield is lacking.

Nouble is decent as are most of them but trouble is they are all average and offer nothing in this league other than bog standard. I see what youre saying though

Hang on, hang on!
Think back to the heady days of John Sillett when we lost to Sutton Utd..!

Current owners have played a big part in our demise to L1 but the management team & players develop the attitude & atmosphere...& bring the results on the pitch.

As fans of CCFC, any of us with even the memory of a goldfish might well admit, the only thing we should be really surprised about is the fact that Reda Johnson was left/allowed to take a penalty. Have our strikers no balls or something?

I think my point has been severely missed.

I'm saying we have a good bunch of individuals. Fleck, JOB, Nouble, Haynes, Johnson. (Obviously we have some poor ones too).

But we are not a team at the minute. Just 11 players, with the majority playing for themselves, rather than each other. If this makes sense?

I hope the Higgs trust dont sell to sisu but sell to wasps, sisu call it a day and we can start this club from scratch with new owners

On Paper our squad overall looked on a par with last year - certainly more competitive at league 1 level in compariosn to our league
rivals and current league position. The fact the team are underperforming has to be levelled at themselves and of course Pressley,
Sisu do not coach the players, buy the players, take them for training, decide the formation, inspire team spirit and fight.

At start of last year we had no idea Callum Wilson would do as well as he did - I would wager that if Tudguy signed back then he would
have caused more excitement than retaining Wilson at the time. Defensively with signing of Johnson, Pugh midfield signings of O'Brien, Swanson
forward signings of Tudgay, Miller & also loan additions of Mcquoid, Coubillay and now Nouble and Martin there can be no denial that
squad is of similar strength overall.

Hoping this disaster today will be catalyst for all to have a good look at themselves, reevaluate and finally push themselves harder to realise
the teams true potential.
