That reads that way to me as well.

They could be wrong, they spent ages saying they had to give away fans 10% of the ground when that was actually only for cup games.
Don't know about the fines but it was known the EFL had imposed the time lines when he was talking to Frasers

Also he was told CCFC could not play outside of the City without losing points

One question I would ask is why did he sign the defective licence unless to gain time to negotiate something better within the time?

Also will the fines come out Club income?
Isn't the 10 year requirement new?

There has been some publicity about Gateshead being refused a playoff place to enter the EFL because they couldn't guarantee a 10 year lease but that was amended to give them a years grace to negotiate terms.

The Arena deal with Wasps was 10 years but Frasers said they were not beholden to it and a 5 year interim lease was agreed a few years ago.

Frasers were not obliged to honour the agreement because of WASPs insolvency and the backstop of it being a licence not a lease

The EFL took a pragmatic view at the time of the licence but still insisted it was for 10 years. Generally if a tenant observes the terms it is unusual for the landlord to interrupt a licence

I feel pretty sure it will be resolved in the end, they are just playing hard ball negotiation tactics. If they don't agree surely everybody loses.

7. The current road closures after games continues to impact supporters leaving the stadium footprint. Those who park in Car Park’s A & C have experienced significantly long delays after a number of matches this season. Maybe have more car park staff available after the game to support safe egress out of the car parks? The free shuttle bus service has been a good success this season. Can more buses be available immediately after the game to get more fans back to the City Centre and train station in a timely manner? Will fans be able to contribute to any end-of season review of the current road closures and its impact on all fans both positive and negative? (CCLSC & Sky-Blue Talk) The shuttle bus, currently paid for by the club, has been well received and we are looking at expanding to help transport to and from the stadium on a matchday and how we continue to improve this service.
The road closure is being constantly reviewed by all parties to ensure the safety of supporters leaving the ground, the closure time has reduced since implementation and will continue to push to open as early as possible.
How long does it take the shuttle bus to get to the train station and is there more than 1? Do they get caught up in the traffic or do they have a different route that avoids all the congestion?

We are travelling down & back home on the train for WBA game & doubt if we will be out in time to get the train from the CBS to the train station & are looking at alternatives to get to the train station for just after 6.

There’s 2 but we are trying to get more as it’s more and more popular

if you get one of the first ones you’ll be fine if not you won’t

They leave from the back of Tesco arena shopping park so do get caught in traffic but you’d be fine

Really liked the idea of keeping the concourses open post-match so people can stay for a bevvy and food after whilst the traffic dies down

When we played Brighton in the cup the other year they did this instead of kettling everybody to the tiny railway station there at once

Understand tho the club can't guarentee it will be used a lot so is it worth doing? And that staff would have to be paid to work extra hours, but it is a good idea in theory and should be trialled imo

Pretty sure they have now gone back on that now. Something to do with PL regulations although won’t be in it next season anyway.

Can’t you share the ticket with someone on Apple Wallet? They’ll defo lose a ST holder from my missus as she can’t make it every week and usually take a mate.

You can screenshot the QR code and send the picture to whoever you want. You also get the ticket via email, which again you can screenshot the barcode/QR Code and share out to whoever.

If both want the same thing, just join forces right? Would be good for us in theory, the more money behind us the better.
It’s not on Doug kings radar at all he wants everything but seemingly has no money to buy it so it is reasonable

like I say doesn’t need to get in the way of this season but we need a way to ask so that we’re not dismissed as it’s so important and if he’s not looked at making a new deal then say

If he says he wants the club to own the arena it doesn’t just happen you have to do something about making it happen

Ashley is not known for being in partnership- he often buys minority stakes then creeps up his ownership.

King is not known for readily listening to the other sides view

I cannot see how the partnership would work. Ashley holds a greater hand

This is probably a stupid question but let's say Doug agrees a new 10 year lease with Frasers.

Would that mean that in a years time because there's only 9 years left the agreement isn't enough for the EFL requirement? And if it is how long is it before they deem it not long enough? Could we get down to the final year and it's still fine because it's still part of a ten year lease?

The rules should clarify but those posted on gere suggest it doesn’t apply to us anyway mmm

A rolling 10 year lease would be fine.

Agree on the parking nearby, but if it's just normal A444 traffic, should that be our problem to fix
They aren’t a problem that anyone is trying to fix. They are collateral damage effectively, just picked the wrong day and time to be going about their lawful business. Held up when roads are closed because pedestrians won’t follow the rules.

Won't bridges or tunnels cost more and cause as much disruption as short road closures? I get it, sitting in your car waiting is sh*t. If you can show me an example of a comparable situation where you can park so close but get away immediately, I'm all ears. Otherwise, isn't that just a cost of the convenience that you can't avoid, as annoying as it can be?

The grounds that you can get in your car and leave straight away either have much smaller crowds, so as when we had small crowds its a non issue, or an alternative route for pedestrians and / or mass transit that means they aren't on the road, Wembley for example.

As for any inconvenience for non-football traffic isn't this the same with any large event. If you decide you need to use the road at the exact time tens of thousands of people are trying to leave an event you're going to get delayed. Used to live near Fratton Park, where there's fuck all parking or road closures, and everyone knew it would be absolute carnage on the roads before kick off and after the game so you just planned around it.

While there is definitely improvements that can be made it seems that a lot of people are just concerned with having the quickest option available to them personally no matter what the impact on anyone else is.
