Seriously has anyone ever placed a bet based on the back of a shirt sponsor? Or for that matter ever bought anything due to shirt sponsor.
I bet alcohol sales plummeted after they were dropped.
If gambler's want to bet they'll bet.
Is Doug going to close the Casino also.
That would be a terrible price. Many ST holders who cant go to evening games will do the maths and realise it's more like an average of £26 a game and consider pay as you go.Adult season tickets for the 21/22 season £299 Ricoh return package, 22/23 £345, 23/24 £460? £20 per match?

If Doug gets this wrong I am going to start to loose faith in him. As posted by someone the other day Blackburn, Huddersfield and a few others have frozen or reduced prices.
Increase the premium seats 10% and keep Everything else the same.
It’s still true isn’t it?Btw season tickets were cited as being important for cash flow over the summer by SISU more than revenue per se, I thought that those days were behind us?
Maybe he's suggesting scrapping JSB season tickets.
2000+ is a lot to give away for free. I wonder how many would buy their kid a season ticket if it cost £30 (on top of the JSB price).
Alternatively, he could be looking at zoning the tickets. For me this has to be the way forward.
You could do a very cheap ticket in the least popular blocks. Possibly as low as £250 and use that as a marketing figure. Limit it to two blocks and only 2000 seats.
Then go as high as £450 for West Stand and the blocks in the middle. Arguably, many would still pay that and if they couldn't afford it, have the option to move.
Then rest of the ground at a similar price to this season.
Therefore, you have options for everyone, including new fans encouraged by the very cheap, limited STs.
Must be, the TV money is a pittance and we have sold no one of note for a while. It’s still true isn’t it?
Thats a shout, it would only work on near sellouts to have it zoned. Kiddies prices will be going up and those minted OAPs will be taking a hitI never sit it my season ticket seat, I’ll just buy a cheap one and sit somewhere with a better view
Presumably somewhere close to the exit of the Gents to save you having to use the entrance.I never sit it my season ticket seat, I’ll just buy a cheap one and sit somewhere with a better view
People got carried away thinking we're going to start chucking millions around on transfer fees even though both Doug & Mark Robins have said all along this wouldn't be the case.I’m amazed people are going on about safe standing and not looking at an underlying message it’s down to supporters to increase any transfer budget by funding it themselves
Added to the fact that ticket revenue , be it ST or matchday , is a vital form of income for all clubs in this league to fund a competitive side.People got carried away thinking we're going to start chucking millions around on transfer fees even though both Doug & Mark Robins have said all along this wouldn't be the case.
Robins back in January:
"What I would say is that people think there’s a new ownership that everything is going to be fantastic and that we have got loads of money now and are going to spend it all,” he said. “That’s not going to happen. What we have got is a bit more stability and control and we will continue to do things incrementally, as we have done before."
It’s still true isn’t it?

Depends how it’s sold and whether the community can get behind it.Not a good thing is it?
What’s the thinking behind that, comrade? That would be a terrible price. Many ST holders who cant go to evening games will do the maths and realise it's more like an average of £26 a game and consider pay as you go.

Probably not very well if fans again back the club in record numbers and again the manager has to work on peanutsDepends how it’s sold and whether the community can get behind it.
If JSB ST's were scrapped i wouldnt be renewing.
I think there would be a fair few the same. Kids are literally our next generation, look at the amount of kids nowadays wandering round in Cov kits, the amount of kids at games etc. A world away from the depths of 6 years ago when my son was the only boy in his primary school who was a proud cov fan.
If they whack the prices up for kids to anywhere near 3 figures it will go down like a cup of cold sick
I never sit it my season ticket seat, I’ll just buy a cheap one and sit somewhere with a better view
Especially when you add in the other thing that was slipped into the notes, that the current deal has us back to getting fuck all of the revenue our being there generatesStadium deal (or lack of it) is worrying and stinks of Ashley being a bellend
Remember when everyone wanked about Doug and how we wouldn't need to rely so much on making our own reven........ oh wait
It’s still a bit of a mystery why Doug King (and his backers, whoever they are) acquired the club.
It’s a very conservative business plan with probably more risk than opportunity.
You still get the feeling there is something else going on around this investment…
Few things to take from that
Stadium deal (or lack of it) is worrying and stinks of Ashley being a bellend
I couldn’t grumble at a slight increase on my ST - The £15 per game I paid this season is excellent value and probably not representative of the quality of football I have watched at times
To give over 3000 JSB season tickets away for next to nothing whilst admirable is absolutely mad from a business point of view, there can’t be many clubs at our level who do that, if any
From the moment he took over the club it was never expected that King was going to throw millions about on new players and we would mostly remain a self sufficient club, things would just be better ran than under the previous owners - So I don’t get why people are kicking up a fuss about that now
I’m not - But I would understand if there was an increase as we currently get good value for money, almost too good to be trueI really don't understand why so many people are cucking for a price increase. If the board read this forum they'd almost feel inclined to lift the prices based on fan feedback alone.
I don't have a season ticket, and live abroad, but looking in from the outside this all looks ridiculous.
Whilst I appreciate your frustration how do you think investment in the playing squad will be funded. That would be a terrible price. Many ST holders who cant go to evening games will do the maths and realise it's more like an average of £26 a game and consider pay as you go.

That stinks of a massive price hike. I can see it backfiring
