What you're saying directly contradicts what King said.open your eyes to it
lawernce was not offered a new contract but adi and robins were at the time
Lawerence left because of this. Incidentally interesting king said after the wolves game all wasn’t the same but no direct mention of Lawrence
in the summer the club were told while vivesh is there, some players won’t sign because of his methods and character
robins (imo) was pushed into a corner and saved his back by staying with the club while Adi was sacked
robins ignored adi all summer (imo because he felt guilty that he betrayed adi in some way)
for king to say robins dismantled the coaching setting up is misleading
again from tonight that king kept saying first team coach not assistant. So in theory king was the one pushing for that specific role not robins.
we all know that Ramsey was lined up and this was stopped by king.
king chose his words very wisely tonight but to suggest they (robins and adi) fell out over an article is bizarre
and if anyone wants context for that
all employees in the club are panicking now. coaches the lot
Austin probably didn’t want to attend tonihjt
the only person king praised was a person whose only been here 10 months
Yes - standard practise for a club manager that’s trusted by the owner.Dod doig king say mark was assigned the job of finding his own number 2 ?
I don't think any opposing fans would listen to tonight and believe KingI don’t think Robins will respond - he does not need to . He is held in high esteem across the football world and the last thing he needs is a legal wrangle
Well the fact solicitors are involved would suggest something much more sinister is at play .. not a simple fall out over a media quote
He blamed Robins for the coaching setup that's there, Robins was quoted as saying the same.
Agree with this. Not at all, I think many people expected to pelt Doug King because they had it in their minds it was him/his people that got rid of AV and then Robins.
As it happens, it was Robins who got rid of AV and wanted the much-maligned flat coaching setup.
Many people had decided it was Dr Roberts who was the evil genius behind this all. Which seems to be miles off the mark.
Yes - standard practise for a club manager that’s trusted by the owner.
did I say strike?
I said sheaf was on the team sheet Friday night. Sheaf woke up Saturday morning and said he didn’t want to play
I never mentioned the word strike
Well that's a a bending of the words he said. He gave praise to Rhys Carr and Boateng but said that they needed an experienced tactician to oversee them.
Dempster and Delaney on the other hand might be at risk.
You said he refused to play , so yes strike.did I say strike?
I said sheaf was on the team sheet Friday night. Sheaf woke up Saturday morning and said he didn’t want to play
I never mentioned the word strike
I'm sure he blamed robins for the dismantling of the coaching setup , for wanting adi out , for results which he said at the start , for not getting a number 2 .
I'm not sure what he didn't blame Robins for
Robins was the manager - surely the buck stops with him.I'm sure he blamed robins for the dismantling of the coaching setup , for wanting adi out , for results which he said at the start , for not getting a number 2 .
I'm not sure what he didn't blame Robins for
I was expecting him to say basically anything besides ‘because he dismantled the coaching setup’. Incredibly divisive thing to say if it’s not true and perhaps even if it is.Didn't like that one bit tonight ,I'm sorry but to put the blame on Robins for everything and take credit for the good isn't leadership .
King came across as incredibly egotistical and self indulged .
You are right you didn't say the word strike specifically. You said and I quote
'Refused to play'
You said Dovin was injured, why didn't you say Sheaf was injured, if we trust both Carr and Sheaf he was touch and go all the way up to the game, so it wasn't a last minute decision.
In regards to recruiting a number 2 ? I'm sure we heard the same thing ?Robins was the manager - surely the buck stops with him.
I'm hoping she could take a look at my sinuses. Is anyone going to take up Doug's offer of a day a Ryton to see what Dr. Claire does?
Robins said himself about the coaching setup, didn't he? I literally quoted him saying it and it was "He was just towing the line".
Interviewed by who though?Sure but then said he didn't get one because all the best tactician they interviewed wanted to be a number 1 , which is definitely not the case as why would they apply
You said he refused to play , so yes strike.
dovin was never down to play Saturday. sheaf was
Yeah he said Viveash was the tactician, he said that Robins "got found out"
Could've used a million other soundbytes to move us on . The way he came out fighting ,for me , was disrespectful and contemptibleI was expecting him to say basically anything besides ‘because he dismantled the coaching setup’. Incredibly divisive thing to say if it’s not true and perhaps even if it is.
He blamed Robins for the coaching setup that's there, Robins was quoted as saying the same.
Interviewed by who though?
MR??
"The Cov Pod" - "The CWR presenters did really well"
Fucking hell.
His version of the truth ?
Sorry that just says it all for me
Agree but how many other manager sackings relate to a manager who has achieved as much as Mark Robins did at Coventry for as long as he had.Incredible what we've witnessed tonight if you think about it. What other manager sackings get this kind of transparency and bombshell moment?
The real issue of conjecture is why did Viveash get sacked and by who
If we knew that we’d know a lot about what subsequently happened
