Fuck me Big Doug wasn’t holding back.

Robins and Adi fell out. Robins had final say on the players. Robins didn’t want any of the options for Assistant manager.

Can believe a lot of it although obviously this is from Doug’s perspective but Christ I wouldn’t want to work for the guy.

Sounds like head coach will be allowed a new assistant but we really could do with a sporting/football director in this setup. Doug should write the cheques and steer clear of direct involvement in football decisions.

Did anybody seriously think that the Dr Claire woman picks the team and tactics rather than what he explained?
Well, plenty of contributors were blaming her for the performances. Likewise, there’s been plenty of suggestions that she was the one recommending players and the coaching staff.

It seems that Dean Austin and King are more involved with side of things.

In terms of her remit, it seems that the players are fitter than ever which is what she was brought in to do. We can stop blaming her for everything now because it was grating on me.

Oh we’re in great shape. No manager, no manager in sight, no assistant manager, coaches that the owner just basically said are crap, huge division amongst the fanbase and an owner who has just made any applicant think twice about getting involved with this toxic shitshow. What’s not to like 😁

You're talking nonsense, there's been much worse in the last 10 years.

And you call me hysterical. The irony.

It was a case of ' It's my club and you do what I want, even though I do not know a lot about football but I am a business manager.'

He makes the choice and fires the gun, but he did say he does a lot of consulting with other people in football

Your eyes are full of tears about Robins you are bringing the those absolute cunts.

He said you should back the club owner, I just adked if he backed sisu and he said no. Meaning his original statement was bollocks.

It’s because fans would believe anything other than Robins being at fault for anything.

Robins has had the backing and support. I understand

I don’t believe everything he said, but if King is going to make such public pronouncements, he better be telling the truth because all it takes is for MR to rubbish it in public.

There were 2 fundamental truths that believe to be case that is regarding MR choose all his signings and he chose the coaching setup rather than DK or Dr Roberts.

One story I’d like to clarify is the info wars regarding the potential number 2 replacement. One set of ITKs claimed that Robins wanted a Ramsey as #2 and was refused (@usskyblue) and the other said it was Robins who refused it (@Saddlebrains). Apologies if I’m @‘ing the wrong people.

Likewise with the experienced pro part, where DK said they’ve not refused players which contradicts ITK information from Saddles regarding Matty James.

On October 9th, Chris Ramsey met with Robins at Ryton and left thinking he only had to agree a package with the owner.
He later got a call from the performance director telling him that the owner didn’t think the timing was right.

we learned King’s take on events, like I say though that’s all we gained. Theres no way anyone is getting sued or taken for defamation in a situation like this, so unless someone starts digging through emails, messages etc to find out exactly what happened, we are not really any the wiser. But that’s ok, I always quite liked King. I just don’t think that one side of the story is enough to be making conclusions.

One thing I do know, this whole fiasco is the biggest clusterfuck at the club for years, and we are in BIG trouble.
We wanted to hear from DK, and he fronted up and told us his side of things, that's the only side he can give us. And as MR and AV have gone, it's the only side that really matters.

The sacking was a huge, huge call, but results since the Wolves game havnt been good enough, and our performance against Derby showed that we havnt turned a corner.

A win against a poor Luton side and an away win against 10 man Middlesbrough was a false dawn, not an upturn in performances, as proved vs Derby.

I'm gutted MR has gone, but clearly things have gone on behind the scenes that we weren't aware of. Maybe if we had known more at the time we'd of understood the decision better.

You are in general massively negative based on things that aren’t real. Those above are facts. You just heard it with your own ears and you see it all around you.

Seriously, you talk so much nonsense. Trying to catastrophize stuff, you may have a point if we hadn't had so much going on.

Anyone get the feeling Robins could have been a bit of a blocker to bringing in a new coach to support him. Lots of really talented applicants but none over the line…that was my wife’s take on it.

Did he actually look like he was going to cry @Sky Blue Pete ?

Wouldn't blame him.

He's had the most outrageous dogs abuse for the past few days.

I don't care who you are, you'd struggle with it.

Guessing the talks about changing him had progressed?

Sounds like it was a bit of a farce?
Not at all, I think many people expected to pelt Doug King because they had it in their minds it was him/his people that got rid of AV and then Robins.

As it happens, it was Robins who got rid of AV and wanted the much-maligned flat coaching setup.

Many people had decided it was Dr Roberts who was the evil genius behind this all. Which seems to be miles off the mark.
