So you're now backing NOPM again?

And you agree with that tool that anyone who hands over their money to SISU are immoral?

Not true, I was pleased we won. I still followed it and was excited by the lineup and potential of Maddison and Armstrong.

I just want us to have something to shout about.

You said you couldn't support the support the club but got exited by the line up?? You seem a bit confused.

Didn't they just sort of announce it and then tell their fans? Pretty sure they didn't say we are looking at moving a further 60 miles away, how do you feel about it?

The biggest victims here are the Wasps fans, who have been forced to travel a much further distance to watch their beloved team.

As we have all said many a time, a sporting club is the fans. In this circumstance the fans of Wasps have been treated pretty appallingly.

So those who support the club are painted as the villains whilst those who don't go regard themselves as some sort of heroes doing it for the greater good.

Thats some twisted logic right there.

The people attending are the lifeblood of the club, the only ones keeping it going at the moment. Without them the nomp gang wouldn't even have a club to boycott.

Why would that be? I hated what Derick Robins did in the 70's.........................................
"However, he was better known as the promoter who took several strong sides to apartheid South Africa in the 1970s. Between 1972/73 and 1975/76 a D. H. Robins' XI played in the country each winter. In those days there were no sanctions against cricketers who visited South Africa, and Robins' teams included players of high quality, including such names as Bob Willis, Brian Close, Tony Greig and Trevor Chappell. Detailed accounts of these matches can be found in the International cricket in South Africa from 1971 to 1981 article."[Unquote]...................................................... BUT! without doubt he was the best owner Coventry City FC ever had. He knew without investment on the pitch our team would be nothing. Years of investment brought in the "Messiah JH" and a few years later promotion to the "Top Flight" of English football. Something SISU destroyed in a few short seasons. So, you see you don't have to like a owner to pay good money to watch a team they invest in, but you and some others think everything is "Black and White" where SISU are concerned. They need to show a massive intent to make CCFC a good team again before I start Digging deep" into my pocket again.

Sisu moved us so they could come back as owners.
They gambled with the club and lost everything for us.
Wasps wanted a home to settle in.
Slightly different.

Yep another minor point, pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things but just to show Wasps will do what they want without any consideration for fans. Last season they had a fan poll on whether to move matches to a Saturday, on the poll Sunday won so it stayed as Sunday. This year they just moved matches to Saturday without consultation as they knew Sunday would win again.

Slightly different but essentially the same, at the end of day they both moved a club without consideration of what they would leave behind with the end goal of financial reward.

You might not agree with the argument for whatever reason you have which I don't agree with but you can't dispute the argument certainly has merit.

Exactly. SISU passed up the opportunity for us to own the Ricoh, playing silly games to get it on the cheap.

They've ruined the future of the club, and In doing that the knock on effects might ruin Coventry RFC too

Hahaha and the council are blameless in all of this?

We all know that Sisu would have bought the Ricoh for the amount Wasps paid.

Now its SISUs fault if Wasps have a negative impact on CRFC.

They had a business funded by us the tax payers being crippled by SISU's tactical move to Northampton.

They could either sell before ACL went bust, or hand it over to SISU.

I think they did the right thing.

They matched their offer at the last minute but with the caveat that they get a load of confidential information that would help them sue the arse off the council.

That's not a real offer - they knew it wouldn't be accepted.

Pro ccfc you mean? Still, don't let a decent win let you have a day off, you can look forward to a court case or something that will be of more interest.

I'm sure a few more who go quiet when we do something good will be back in time for court action.

Couldn't really care about them unless they affect ccfc.

Just a shame some care more about politics than the actual football

Totally agree with the opening post. There's little we can do about SISU or the way they operate so lets just get behind TM and the team. Of course there's still concerns, particularly the ground situation as it has been shown that if and when we do have some success and get to the championship it will be incredibly difficult for us to be competitive. But for now lets just concentrate on getting there.

Imagine if SISU had left at the end of last season. New owners come in and managed to sign Mowbray. They made sizeable reductions to both matchday and season ticket prices. Open a new, fully stocked, shop near the ground and give the manger one of the biggest budgets in the division. What would the response be?

We all know SISU have been terrible owners but we can't change the past and they aren't going anywhere soon.

I don't know why so many people struggle with a simple concept. Its been shown on here over and over again that SISU aren't taking money out of the club yet a sizeable chunk of our supporters still insist they are.

What do those who are staying away think they are achieving? The only impact is the potential for the playing budget to be cut.

@richh87 said:
They aren't though. There are owners out there who invest as they love the sport - Steve Gibson at Middlesborough is probably the best example. There are fan owned clubs emerging too, like Swansea and Pompey, and that IMO is the best model for clubs.

So what do you want from SISU? We've had owners who have spent big and it nearly put us out of business. SISU are currently running the club as self sustainable, as it would need to be under fan ownership, and you're complaining about lack of signings. Seems you're not happy with either option.

We are now tenants of Wasps as they were tenants of Wycombe so I presume nobody would have any issue with SISU moving us 90 miles away if it was financially beneficial?

Unbelievable it may be, but that's how most City fans have been made to feel.

It's disgusting and another reason people hold SISU with such hatred and contempt.

I'd like them to stop telling lies - is that too much to ask?

If they built a new stadium as they've promised, or made an offer to Wasps to own half of the Ricoh then it would at least show an intention to give the club a brighter future.

That's the main issue - they've openly stated before that they aren't really interested in football, have treated everyone badly, suing anything that moves, and that behaviour is what has caused thousands like me to turn on them.

Does anyone here think that SISU haven't acted disrespectfully towards the fans?

It's no wonder attendances are low.

Peoples stances may soften if SISU clean up their act, but until then they only have themselves to blame.
