It wasn't, that's the ridiculous thing

When you take into account flights hotel etc I was told we made about 25 grand profit
:ROFLMAO: pays Haji's wages for a week I guess

Wouldn't we make about that just putting on a friendly at the CBS? 10k @ £10 a ticket is 100k as conservative estimate, dunno what the costs are like

Off the back of Tuesday I'd hazard a guess we made over 100K.

Darmstadt was a waste of time, money and effort

Even the players were like 'what the fuck are we doing this for?'

Id play our first team tomorrow and play

Wilson
Lati Howley Kitching Da Silva
Torp Andrews
Dausch
Rapha Obikwu Tavares

At Roma

All those that are unlikely to get significant minutes at Stoke

To see MR in lederhosen
To eat the world's biggest sausage
To see Ben Wilson try speaking German

All kinds of good reasons.

Anyone know how many they're bringing?

Quite looking forward to adding this to my Banik Ostrava, Benfica, Ajax and Dundee collection.

Looking forward to it, not seen us play any foreign teams in Cov since 2007. Can’t remember when we played Dundee Utd ?
There might be a few Germans rock up on the day as well. Be interesting to see how we cope with a Bundesliga outfit.

Was it waiting on some sort of bank confirmation? Mine does it sometimes where I have to go into banking app and approve.
That's exactly what I did went out to app, back again,3minute time out and like a continuous buffering, had helper's there as well, not an issue though I will just turn up early and go in the TO.

Apparently Werder Bremen are streaming it but it’s not clear if it’s free view or not yet.

It’s not free. It’s flagged as “Premium” and you have to subscribe to access it. Minimum term is 6 months at €5 a month.

For some reason, and I have no idea why considering it's the last proper friendly.......

He's playing wing backs 😳😳😳😳

Can only assume it's to see if Simms and BTA work well together and ensure minutes go into the legs of everyone

But I sincerely hope its just to try it as we are fucking shite in that setup

Maybe it’s something to keep Stoke guessing

Looking forward, oddly enough, to seeing a glimpse of Rodrigues more than BTA.

He's got me intrigued.

Possibly to see if Burroughs or JDS are a solution to the problem before signing for those positions?

I you were to try something different I think a standard 442 suits this group much better than wingbacks.

This is my thoughts

Can't even consider 3 5 2 when you've got Tats Wright EMC Rodrigues for the wings

Rudoni doesn't fit into that either

I know it's a friendly but it literally makes zero sense for him to even try it

Something to give Stoke 3 points then

We are awful in that shape and you can't play Tats EMC Wright in the wing backs system.. 3 of our best players

I can't fathom it
I agree and I thought MR already had all the evidence he needed that it doesn’t work. BTA was signed surely to rotate with Simms, not to partner him.

Though if you are going to partner them, at least do it with a central midfield pairing and two wide attacking players. Maybe it’s a way to shoehorn Lati into the side

If ever we had the need to change things (due to opposition set up/injuries) it makes little sense for the players not to have practised for that circumstance;similarly , if we go down to 10 men. My only (slight) query is that this is the last 'main' friendly before the Stoke game (aside from the meaningless game against non league Roma), so I might have expected him to try this in an earlier game. In Robins we trust, though!!

Day of the fringe player or those in need of minutes in the legs today for me Collins, Burroughs, JDS, Howley, Palmer, Torp, Tatsu, Andrews, Lats and Tavares i hope get the bulk of the minutes. Be nice to see Thomas Asante, Sheaf, Rodriguez and Wright at some point. But no injuries is priority along with Robins getting final answers on who stays to play a part in our season.

Today is when you go first choice and give them a decent 70 mins or more. Those in need of minutes can get them on Tuesday against Roma

Agreed

But Robins for some reason isn't doing that

Playing 3 5 2 and Lati Thomas Kitching as the back 3 the last proper game before Stoke has absolutely thrown me

Yes I know it's pre season but fuck me, what's he doing??
