Was Eccles good today? Swear some people are looking for it now. Thought he was shite along with most of the others.
Rudoni gets a 7
Not giving a score to any other players
Ref: shite
Robins: even more shite
Thought Eccles was far better than most of them today. Only MVE and Rudoni who played better.

MVE was responsible for conceding the free kick for the first goal.

It was clear where Rudoni wanted him to run into but he stood still.

His marks on here are far too high, he was poor and everything came down our right though that was, also down to the lack of support he got.

I don't see how anyone can really defend Dovin. He doesn't look that great to me at all. I know Wilson has his club of people determined never to see him in a CCFC shirt again, but that seems to be the driving force behind the lack of spotlight. Dovin is not standing out as a better option based on what we have seen so far this season.

Anything specific as to why you don't rate him?

Oh I didn't mean you when I said that but it you did, 😛
I did, because I assumed he wouldn't just repeat the selection. Historically whenever he's done that, the second performance is very flat because the opposition have changed, and those players have less energy than they did the previous game.

Going off his comments today, he didn't put much thought into the team and just repeated it because it was the simple thing to do. Stuff like that just doesn't sound like him being his usual self. That's not just down to Viveash going, we were very poor in the first few months of last season with him around too, but it can't help.

I think Wilson is far more vocal too.

Aside from Bidwell, I don’t think we’ve got many players born in this millennium and having a grown up in the team is always helpful.

The bottom line, I think, is that Dovin, in the mind of DK, “might” (as a young full international) progress to be worth serious money.

Can’t help but think the money made on Vik and Gus has gone to his (DK’s) head and the “model” has overtaken common sense.

It's not that I don't rate him, I'm just not seeing a lot that makes me think he's much better than Wilson at this point.
He deserves at least a full season before passing judgment, and he's been left hung out to dry for each goal he's conceded so far. If he was signed for his distribution though, I can't say he helped his case today. We look very unconvincing arseing around playing out from the back and it's putting him under a fair bit of extra pressure.

Just to add some balance. EMC is going to be a very good player for us. No idea why Dovin is being criticized. The biggest mistake today was starting Allen - we were over run with Allen last year against the same oppo - he doesn't have the strength to play that role in the Champ. Same story when he played against Luton in the play off final.
On what evidence will EMC be a very good player?

For a start, he doesn't seem to have any pace. When he does get away from a defender they're right back with him within a few strides. His shooting has been dreadful - at range they end up in row Z, and he's not been at all clinical from closer. The one thing he does have is a good cross, but that seems to require someone to pick him out in a crossing position.

Got to be honest, I'm that concerned about the outfield issues I've not really taken too much notice of what's going on with the keepers.

mason clarke is a fraud

one good season in League one and before that he was playing in a pub league

he’s non- league quality
Ever heard of David Busst or Ian Wright, (and probably many others) both came from the amatures and played in the Prem. you don’t have to come via an academy.

Not playing in sheafs shadow currently is he, might be the elevation of him you never know!
He's showing the attitude that many more of those players also need to be showing. Said earlier, he also looks like he's feeling under pressure during games because he's having to do the work of more than one player in that midfield.

There was a point in the second half where Eccles was the one pressing their keeper and Simms was stood watching. Looks to me like we're back to the Simms that started last season

Jeccles motm.

We are very hit and miss…mostly miss.
We need to sort it out soon. I thought MVE looked really out of sorts/injured.
