Unless I already know them – which, since I have no connection to Coventry at all, is very unlikely – people do not talk to me at games. This could be for a variety of reasons, but the permanent scowl and generally misanthropic demeanour probably don’t help.

Turns out, if you bring your girlfriend, you’re suddenly hosting a chat show.
.
Class this.

sort the web page out though it's a bit busy with the background and pics etc

Good as usual, bit harsh on Sordell though, on his debut playing on the wing and our attacking play disappeared after he went off

So glad you are back, as someone with equally unfathomable reasons for following Cov I have an affinity for your reports.

Keep it up

A very well written article. Re: the ad in the girls' loos, I think it is advising women to buy a family car after they get a positive pregnancy test.

I wish the writers at the CT had the linguistic skills of 87mint. Alan Poole is particularly bad. He can barely string a coherent sentence together. Also, Alan ends many of his sentences with the phrase "sort of thing" especially when he's interviewing players and the manager. It's somewhat surprising that someone who takes a career as a journalist seems unable to speak and write English correctly.

Dunno if it's the same guy but one of them seems scared to even ask a question....like you end ends it with "sort of thing" and I'd barely audible he goes so quiet at the end of sentences and they just turns to a mumble. Cringey

Decent read in general but have to contest your comments about Wimpy. I quite like it.

Also, good to see that George Thomas is already being lined up as a scapegoat.

In the post-match interviews one of our players referred to them as a ‘possession-based side’ – I would hasten to argue that every side becomes a ‘possession-based side’ if you give them the ball the whole f’ing time.

 Brilliant as always. Good to see you back.

I actually agree. Far too harsh from me. I think it was actually Reid who I thought had a bit of a stinker when he came on.

Excellent write-up. I also have no links at all with Coventry and can't even get my girlfriend to come with me. So 1-0 to you.

My girlfriend is Cornish but she loves going football. Likes the chanting and the abuse that she drinks like Olly Reid helps too

'The game started and I felt lost. Who were all these players. Only 2 remained from our opening day over Wigan last season – don’t make the comparison. I just did and it’s frightening.'

Here's report number one. Taxing.

It's not worth it mate. They just complain when you lose and get confused when you win.

How come she tags along Mint if she doesn't have any interest in it?

Because I make her come to at least 2 or 3 a season. I think she's been misled by coming to Crawley away end of 2014/15 (absolute pandemonium when we equalised to stay up) and Wigan first day last season. Swindon was a painful dose of reality.

It would easier & cheaper just to tell her you don't want to be with her anymore if you're trying to get rid! ; )
