Taking one game at a time (1 Viewer)

The players and the manager have been keen to stress how they are taking one game at a time whenever they get the chance to speak to the public. And there is little doubt that this strategy has worked well so far this season.

However, I recall previous seasons when the team has also taken one game at a time and we haven't done so well. Sometimes we have taken one game at a time and lost them all one after another. Taking one game at a time is not a panacea. Sometimes it's a fucking curse.

I feel that we are pushing our luck a bit too far by continuing with the 'one game at a time' strategy. In short, now is the time to take several games concurrently! We can start the transition slowly - so we might consider two games at the away tie at Ipswich. And I'd like to see us building up to taking five or six games at a time over the coming weeks.

Does anyone else have some hunches about things we should change at this point? Any so-called 'common sense' strategies that can and should be challenged? For example, perhaps you think that it should not be a game of two halves? Or maybe the players should get onto social media and tell us how little they respect our coming opponents because they're shite and have no good players?

Over to you, team.

I’m too pissed to read your essay and don’t get me wrong I’m buzzing with the result but what a shit turnout from our fans. They had over 1/3 of the attendance. No trans and a 3 hour drive. Fucking come on city piss poor.
P.S. we’re top of the league....

You're wrong. There were at least two trans as my friend Jeremy and I were both in drag. And one of their players with longish hair is a 'maybe' in my book.

Teams in the top six will lose between now and the end of the season. So no need to knee jerk.

We will have a bad run before the end of the season when things might look a littile sticky.

Hold your nerve and back the lads. We are not the best team in this division (and I don't know who is ), that will be decided at the end of the season.

When I say back the lads, I mean every player because they are us and together we are Coventry City.

Was their cup final though, to be fair.

You have been on fire Trench since you took up the walking football.
Is it the banter among your teammates or the excercise induced, oxygen rich corpuscles coarsing through the grey matter?

It sounds offensive so probably but what’s a pooka?

There's a movie I like called 'Harvey'. It stars Jimmy Stewart and he thinks he can see a large white rabbit called Harvey. He says it's a pooka, which is a troll that can change into the form of any animal.

Haven't played since - pulled my hamstring. Will try on Thursday. :)

If my leg is no better I may suggest wanking football to the lads. Not sure what the rules will be, but I've got a few days to think them up.

Got you! To be honest I was so surprised that anyone even knew that film I nearly spat out my hay.
