Im not sure durham is too fond of us anyways .
Fact of the matter is that most clubs at this level have to use the loan market , we moved in for kent i believe after maddison was injured , so losing him wouldnt be too much an issue when maddison is back .
With murphy it's not alot different from offering him a season long contract .
So we are left with cole who i believe will retire here and coach here , and armstrong .
All in all we can field a full 11 that can do well in this league fully fit ofcourse without all but 1 player .
Durham is just angry we beat them .simple

We had 3 loan players in our squad (Armstrong, Murphy and Kent) Peterborough had 2 (Elder and Davey). What's his point? He probably didn't mention they had paid a transfer fee for 3 players this summer, whilst we had only paid a fee for 1 (Vincelot - £25k)

And I'd imagine their wage bill will be on par or a shade higher than ours,

Tudgay is a decent player at this level and deserves more credit. Saying that he isn't the answer if Armstrong leaves.

Who is Durham and why does he have such a problem with us?

He's a radio presenter, and a Peterborough fan. He doesn't have a problem with us really I don't think. He just acts a dick on radio towards most clubs to get a response out of listeners and was moaning about our loan players I think after we beat them.

We also have to remember this is the same man that called the arsenal invincibles pretty average lol

Instead of worrying that Armstrong will go elsewhere get up support the team so our transfer budget is bigger come January and let TM perform some magic getting a top striker in for Armstrong to play next to thus developing him even more... result

Don't particularly like Durham but fair play, he did say the best team won Saturday, and that when our loans go back we'll probably fall away. It's a fair opinion to hold.

I like hawksbee & Jacobs. His thoughts on that kid that ran on the pitch at Twickenham had me chuckling, had it been football he'd be up in court and a 3 year banning order!

Durham is a classic split personality.

When we were at Sixfields he did a good job in bringing up how disgusting it was and showed a lot of empathy with us the fans, and our situation. That was the rational side.

On the irrational side when anyone beats Peterbrough, and lets face it he should be used to it by now, he becomes some frothing mouthed nob head. It makes me laugh when he goes on about our loans, as all clubs can do it, its just this season we have done it better than others, but he is too thick to see that Peterbrough have obviously messed up on this front.

my uncle a "man utd" fan heard this and then tried trolling me saying cov exploit loan system. needless to say i went on the offensive and it got akward when i got into local team supporting lol

end of day we have good loans now for once, and also gk, defence and central midfield are all contracted players. the loanees are upfront and thats why people are noticing them

murphys here till end of season so dont need to worry about that. maddison to come back who is also contracted to club.

i agree armstrong is the biggie. hes the best striker ive seen at city who holds a place in my heart like dion dublin did lol. no dobut championship clubs will want him in january but lets hope newcastle and adam himself want to keep him at cov.

as for kent,i still think hes capable of so much, his pace is frightening and his goal showed what he can do when he does get end product right, i would be disapointed to see him go back. i mean on sat vs pboro even with shit crossing and numerous blocked shots he was a huge part of us taking the game to them and pivitol to the win imo

I always thought Durham was an Arsenal fan? He's always banging on about them but yeah he's a bit of a tit most of the time. Goughie is alright though most of the time, normally talks sense.

We have not exploited the loan system, we have made best use of it. No one ever moaned when we couldn't call the match off when all our loanees were on international duty. Fair play to Mowbray and Venus for using their budget wisely and not wasting it on journeymen that don't have anything to fight for other than a mortgage. The loan system is the only way young up and coming players can get noticed, that's why they put in the effort, they want to be noticed so the big clubs look inward rather than bringing in some of the foreign dross that come to the BPL to pay the bills. Armstrong is a worry though, Newcastle could take a look at him in the championship after xmas if they wanted to see him play at a higher level in preparation for their first team squad for next year. I do trust Mowbray and Venus to already have irons in the fire in case such circumstances arise. PUSB

I actually like Durham as he winds up the gooners, I bet he will have some fun today after the Munich result!

We we just need to keep Armstrong full stop

I would have thought if he was staying out on loan he'd get at least asked for his opinion. He seems to get on well with our lads from what you can tell on social media. If I was in charge of Newcastle's players development I'd be inclined to leave him with a team doing well with a respected manager. A promotion and possibly top scorer will be a big plus on his CV. What's the point of risking him going elsewhere and it not working out.

Also i cant remember if it was against peterborough or barnsley, but when he scored one of his goals he ran straight over to Mogga and gave him a massive hug. He must like the gaffa purely from his reaction, could play a long way to getting him back after jan.
