Talks Back On.... (2 Viewers)

For the life of me I did not see how WASP stance was in anyway helpful to their own cause in the first place. The EC complaint will run regardless.
To lose a tenant and the windfall of cash that brings with it is utterly foolish. And their own standing in the community will be trashed.

CCFC have a deal ready to run at St Andrews all confirmed. WASP may have thought SISU would not actually pull it off.

So nothing would surprise me if there was an 11th hour change of minds.

Given your first paragraph which I totally agree with I wondered as well what they possibly have to gain from their stance.

I'd be happy for sisu to do a deal with them regarding covering their losses but if you think of it logically it would be professional suicide.
As you say, the complaint will run, why are they denying themselves all the additional revenue between now and it's conclusion?

According to the post by Nick from Tynan Scope the talks never stopped and a deal could still be done. Stop listening to all those wankers who "think they know something" and accept it from a bloke inside the Club.

The problem is there is no pitch at the Ricoh to play on after the scramblers at the weekend

Looks like the club have gone on the offensive on the day ST details are released, good!

It matters not whether they are talking or not....it about a deal and playing in Coventry. This is worse than Brexit

To me, Robins' article seems to be slating the council more than Wasps.

I still have a feeling we'll be at the Ricoh next season and I would love for this to be turn out to be true.

I can't see the talks being back on, Robins and Boddy both sound pretty resigned to Birmingham
I'm not getting any hopes up but the could just be pressure on Wasps. Show them the club has had to move on, season tickets on sale, players signed and public opinion turning against them. Let them go away, look at their finances and see if they drop the mad indemnity stuff.

Does anyone have any evidence of the indemnity stuff?

I tried explaining it to someone yesterday and they said they have not heard anything about it, but I couldn't find a link to prove it.

There’s a difference between talks being on and a deal being close. Read the Tynan Scope statement. It states that talks didn’t stop, the issue is that wasps want CCFC/SISU to cover for them if the EC finds anything, and CCFC/SISU can’t agree to that. So maybe talks are still happening, but until wasps drop this term, they won’t get anywhere.

I believe that talks are happening, can't see why they would just stop, especially of all parties are genuinely as devastated as they claim to be with having to groundshare. So hopefully common sense will prevail.

It's quite widely reported but it's quoted in SISU's statement here:

Following agreement on commercials, Wasps demanded a further agreement to be signed both by the Football Club and SISU. This agreement introduced conditions that would unreasonably restrict the Club and SISU’s basic legal rights and would commit the Club and SISU to underwrite Wasps’ costs and any future damages. This would put the Football Club at great risk and jeopardise its future and in so doing, undermine the hard-work and success the Club has achieved over the past few seasons.

Yes, I interpreted it similarly. That it's not so much that talks halted under any acrimonious circumstances but rather there was nothing more to talk about with neither side ready to budge on the impasse of idemnity, and so talks are open if either side's stance changes.

As mentioned before it's in the statements but you can take further proof that London Wasps haven't tried to dispute it in their statements.
