Unless he was willing to grow half a foot it was never going to. Sounds daft to just go 'he's too short', but that's most of the problem when you stick him in a back 4.Viveadh did say he expected there'd be a lot more to come from Dasilva this season but it just hadn't happened.
Question is why, what are the reasons we missed out on them? They were clearly identified by Robins & the Recruitment team as a necessity.Agree with the sentiment, but isn’t all down to King. We’ve just missed out on players who would’ve fit that bill!
Don't think Stamenic ever had any intention of coming here.Question is why, what are the reasons we missed out on them? They were clearly identified by Robins & the Recruitment team as a necessity.
He's not the experienced players we're talking about. He's only 22 & was clearly earmarked as a potential Sheaf replacement.Don't think Stamenic ever had any intention of coming here.
How has he got on for Olympiakos? He's not the experienced players we're talking about. He's only 22 & was clearly earmarked as a potential Sheaf replacement.
Hardly playing. How has he got on for Olympiakos?

Here’s what we know of 3 targets:
Stamenic - gazumped by Forest
Browne - jilted because we went for Stamenic over him
Mystery loanee CM - injured and only just come back
It snowballed after we agreed terms with Stamenic because we believed he was signed and he pursued another option at the last minute. As for the loanee CM, injuries happen.
It’s not easy to just go out and sign players.
Hindsight is 20/20.We should have made Browne the priority.
We should have made Browne the priority.
Get the point but there’s a lesson for the club in Marko and that’s to target players who ultimately want to be here.I disagree, Stamenic has UCL experience and looked a real talent and whilst Browne is a good player and leader who undoubtedly improve the team, I reckon Stamenic would’ve been the better option.
The club wants to get to the next level, signing a player who’s had a great career in the championship doesn’t necessarily help us to get to the Prem.
As it happens, we got neither so it’s Sod’s Law.

Me too, but still think we need to learn our lessons as sound like we were over ambitious with targets which left us with nothingI do believe Lampard will have better pulling power than Robins for talent especially abroad.

That suggests we are aware of all of our summer transfer targets which we are not. Every club misses out on players. Man City missed out on Declan Rice. It’s football.I'm not sold on the Stamenic vs Browne theory tbh. I think it's just fans putting 2 & 2 together knowing that we were close with Stamenic.
They're different types of player & if you look, Stamenic is clearly earmarked as then enabling us to sell Sheaf (as King himself admitted)
As it is, we missed out on Stamenic, Sheaf got injured & stayed but we still could have signed Browne.
Again though, not really the question that was asked, it was why didn't we sign anyone with proven experience? Of your examples, only Browne fits that brief.
Oh 100% mate, I know that better than most believe me!That suggests we are aware of all of our summer transfer targets which we are not. Every club misses out on players. Man City missed out on Declan Rice. It’s football.
I've heard the Mystery CM was James McConnell from LiverpoolHere’s what we know of 3 targets:

As a necessity? I thought King heavily suggested we were only bringing in another CM to enable us to sell Sheaf?Question is why, what are the reasons we missed out on them? They were clearly identified by Robins & the Recruitment team as a necessity.
Yes... The thread has gotten conflated. As a necessity? I thought King heavily suggested we were only bringing in another CM to enable us to sell Sheaf?
Top 4 mate. How has Alan browne done at his new club?
I'm asking how he's done FFS. As in does he get alot of minutes ,assists, goals? etcTop 4 mate.
What's your point?
He's done well to be in a top 4 club, that's my point, made regular appearances, (12) almost certainly going to end up in the playoffs, and could be a premier league player next season.I'm asking how he's done FFS. As in does he get alot of minutes ,assists, goals? etc
Just a question fucking hell happy new year
