Correction I’ve got more knowledge outside of Coventry..... monk has succeeded at this level and the one above. Robins has been found out at this level every time he’s been here.

like I said, you can be happy with relegation I certainly am not

Monk got sacked by Wednesday and no other club has touched him with a barge pole. I’m done arguing with you m, you’re absolutely clueless

Get used to it, it’s here to stay, if you stay up this season, he’ll approach next season in the exact same way trying to achieve the exact same thing a successful relegation battle. It’s no way to carry on in my opinion.

I'd like to think he might not given he's recognised the model being 'develop and sell'. But we also know he's very set in his ways as his own assistant has said. As it goes I don't think we're making it through to next season so it's a moot point.

Monk's last role was a horror show at Sheff Weds and he is presumably used to being allowed to overspend to heights he'd never get here. If Robins is to be binned off give it to Viveash until the end and hope for the best

Robins got sacked by Huddersfield, what’s your point? Again all your points to keep Robins is “he’s done well in the lower leagues”

hes looking like he’s taken us as far as he can

What you on about we haven’t seen reality? All of these players have been brought in using the methods and workings of Chris Badlan.
They literally have 2 databases of players going into the end of the season depending on league.

also The same fisher who brought Robins?

Not sure I can explain my opinion any clearer really, you said the structure has been in place since 2017. I am saying that we haven't seen a change of manager since 2017. It will only be when we see a change of manager that will discover whether what has mostly happened in the past to us and what happens at most clubs happens again, as in change of manager leads to a change of backroom staff a change of footballing philosohy ect ect.
You are saying like clubs such as Brentford we do have it in place and it will be smooth transition. So I hope I am wrong and you are, although I actually hope we don't need to find out who is right.
Yes that same Fisher I assume I don't need to bother listing the others he oversaw aside Robins.

How about Ryan Lowe? Fits the young up and coming manager profile and has 2 promotions under his belt

You wanted an instant bounce, someone untried in this league is far too high a risk. It’s too late in the day now and it’s clear we are going into the run in with Biamou on his own up front

Ok I’ve given 2 managers who have experience and evidence of bounces, but that’s not enough.

then I’ve given a manger who’s only known success?

i know we’re going into the run in with Robins, and I’ll repeat- more than happy to write a retraction post if he keeps us up. But the first thing needs to do is drop Biamou, spin him around in the middle of nowhere And hope he doesn’t find his way back

(Except for the games he was benched, of course)

Yeah, and the games Kelly was out. Doesn’t change the fact that he doesn’t fit into the current team alongside Kelly.
Hamer is box to box. Look at the goals he scored.

Of course he could play as a DM and a deep lying playmaker, and do a good job of it, but that's not how he plays in this system.

If we go with the FM definitions then...

Kelly - Anchorman
James - Box to Box
Hamer - Roaming playmaker

Hamer wants the ball off the defenders with options in front of him, so does James, so does Kelly. None of them want to get ahead and offer an option. Play with technical terms all you like. SBT’s average position graphic shows that. Last season you’d have had Godden, O’Hare and Allen/Shipley in the opponents half probably plus the wing backs. Maybe even Walsh who was happier going forward than Hamer is. Hamer is just very good at hitting it from the edge of the box. Arriving late. After the attack. Because he’s not primarily an attack minded player.

I read the first three pages, saw that it had got to 19. Someone save me reading the rest and tell me if Grendel answered a question directly or not. Ta!

You're sounding like some of ours now and not in a good way... utter nonsense

His mindset is all wrong at this level, he’s convinced that he has to defend what he’s got, rather than believing he can improve on it, and move to the next level. He’ll never ever change his approach, because deep down he’ll never believe he or the club has what it takes to do so. We’ve seen it, Huddersfield fans have seen it, and next season you’ll see it, on here you’ve all tried to convince yourselves and each other that survival this season is key, then next season you can build on it and gradually improve, it’s not going to happen, he doesn’t believe in himself, what he believes is survival is an achievement and that’s his aim, and he’ll aim to do it in the exact same way as this season, because that’s the mentally of the bloke.

You seem very clued up for someone who never sees us play

We have been really unlucky with injuries affecting our main forwards. (Rose, Kelly and Dabo, too - although all teams will pick up some) The forward situation has almost dictated a more pragmatic style of play, as we haven't had the scope to mix things up as much. MR to stay for me, regardless of relegation or not. Think it's too easy to say he's not up to managing at this level. There are better teams in the league is the obvious issue, and this is our first stab at it (see Rotherham, who everybody has been praising recently, and have been yoyo for several tears between The Championship and League 1) Their fans earlier this season were having a pop at Warne, but now are heaping praise on him.

don’t need to see you play to know what he’s all about I’ve seen it before, two up top against a top six team, beat um 2-0 week after play a bottom 3 team play one up top and a flat back 9 get a 0-0 draw and claim it’s a better result than the week before.
This Robins is not the one who managed you.

Nor, for that matter, the one who managed us first time around.

so he doesn’t see top six sides as a free hit, and turn up playing attacking football with the shackles off ? And pick up a few results against them, must be worse than before then. Used to love us playing the better side to see us have a go.

I would tend to agree with both your comments and @Deleted member 5849.

he’s s definitely improved since he was manager of you and us the first time around. He’s now flexible to an extent. In league two and league one he fluidly changed our system when one wasn’t working.

he’ll however stick with his original plan for as long as possible before changing, and yesthe description about Brentford/ Wycombe was spot on

he actually diverted to the two up front at the start of the season agaisnt unbeaten, top of the league reading.... we won 3-2
