as opposed to people just wanting to watch their team??
We all want to watch the team. Thankfully the majority have moralls and wont blindfully follow sisu to Northampton thus giving them financial support for mugging us all off.

im not sure if the tennis balls thing is the right or wrong thing to do.. ive actually given up trying to work out what is right & wrong now!!

but your 'lets be clear' comment regarding sky is way off the mark in my view.. its a league 1 match, with a few hundred people scattered around a poxy & dull stadium.. sky would most likely enjoy the added drama that this 'tennis ball' thing would bring.. and even that aside, weather they secretly enjoyed it or not, i really dont think they wouldnt suddenly stop giving the KCIC campaign positive coverage because if it. yeah it might delay the match by 5 or 10 mins.. but they would just cut short all the post match stuff after the game, and they would certainly milk it for all its worth... it would give them something to replay on sky sports news every bloody hour

the coverage we got on sunday was (a) cos there were enough numbers and noise on the Hill to have something to report on and (b) being able to tell a couple of sympathetic people at sky what was planned and then keeping them updated on the day. It is those same sympathetic people at sky who told me how sky would react to disruption of one of their fixtures so that's what I'm basing kcic strategy on.

Bigger numbers and more noise is again what will matter on oct 13. Anyone wanting to disrupt the game doesn't need to muck about with tennis balls - remember what just 4 people achieved at headingley 1975. And for those egging others on to do this kind of stuff, do you fancy an 18 month jail sentence which is what happened in 1975?

Michael the Trust stance is a shade on the timid side I think.
And to the pro Sixfields brigade, you are a disgrace. If no City fans went there we'd be back in Coventry a week later. But you go and have your bit of Saturday football. Don't worry yourselves about the future of our club.

The only disgrace here is you, with your SISU propaganda trying to divide fans.

Kop, I remain a Trust Board member but reality now is all my time goes on kcic which the Trust doesn't support or fund - Trust strategy is for others to comment on. For people who want to get militant, Headingley 1975 shows how easy it is and 5 mins on the Hill or outside FL/sisu office you realise how disruption (mayhem?) would be incredibly easy. But kcic strategy is based on this being a war of attrition, building unity as far as possible among city fans eg using the kcic label and initiatives like the Independent Inquiry, building wider public support, using the media to keep the story alive and working closely with the police in cov, northants, London and wherever else this mess will take us. I never rule out civil disobedience as an option but while we have been suffering for years the rest of the world is only just becoming aware of the ccfc story so in the bigger picture it's early days and we need to keep this current phase going for a little bit longer before reviewing things and deciding next steps.

What propaganda? What he says is right. Some of our fans are pathetic. Imagine this happening at leeds, brum or Newcastle, there would be riots at every home game(outside).

The pathetic ones are the ones trying top split people into groups.

Like you.

Why not go to johnny reyes and get a few buckets of gold balls and practice chipping them into the ground?

Just when you thought some of the posts couldn't get any lower, you've taken it to a new level.

The fanbase is well and truly divided. Our club has been moved to another town and still people go as if everything is rosey. They are a disgrace.

I don't think calling people sisu rentboys, scabs, a disgrace and lacking moral fibre does much to reunite a divided fanbase, if anything it's inflammatory and drives a wedge further between the fan base.

So why don't you then, why don't the chosen few that go to Northampton kick off like the clubs you have mentioned? I have seen this comment numerous times saying that other clubs would do something different so what is stopping you if that is the way to go?? If not why mention it?

I have been viewing the various threads on how to protest against Sheffield United.

Just an idea, I don't know if anyone viewed this at the time but during a game between Sevilla and Levante in protest to how much money Madrid and Barca receive compared to the rest of the league.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iovOZ7sRA3U

The idea of the protest was to disturb the game and delay the start of a Madrid fixture that was following on the television the game after.

I think this would be a great idea for a protest and could be either done within the ground or tennis balls could be thrown into the ground from outside.

The tennis balls could have written on them "time to talk" in reference to ACL, SISU, FA etc

Just an idea..

Probably the worst idea in the history of ideas

as i said at the start of my post.. im not sure what is the right wrong thing to do .. but what a couple of reporters allegedly told you about sky ending any positive coverage for us , just doesn't wash with me im afraid. If you say thats what they told you, then fair enough.. but i think they'd be all over it like a rash

and as for getting sent to prison.. now you are going OTT in my opinion. we cant house the real criminals out there at the moment.. we certainly aint got spare space for a few hundred people that dropped a tennis ball!.. come on.. if half a dozen people did it, they MAY catch them all & throw them out the ground.. if a few hundred did it, i doubt they could even action that

The Sixfields few. I make no apologies. If I can nick Brian Clough's phrase, 'You are a bloody disgrace.' Selfish, just as long as you can get to the game on a weekend, what's the problem, eh? Carry on, bury your head in the sand.
The fans aren't divided at all, look around you this Sunday and see the empty stands. We're not there. And won't be.
While you selfish few collude with Sisu.
A bloody disgrace.

So if the fans aren't there, who are you moaning at?

Instead of having a go at other fans, there should be plans for protest and action that ALL fans agree with and can take part in, just like the march joined everybody together.

Spot on, i want us to play back in cov as much as anyone else. There are two polar sides, some that attend games and watch the football and the others who protest on the hill I respect both ends for making that choice but lets not forget the majority who are doing nothing here. The people who are attending games or protesting have made a concious effort and choice to support their beliefs (or just want to watch football) but there are alot of people who are doing nothing but equally moan about the situation. The trust have not captured their imagination at all which is why any protest is deemed very weak and poorly attended. My own personal view is that any protest at its current state will not make a difference, starving them out will not work. They are a commercial company, the best way from my perspective is for the club to own a ground whether that is the ricoh or a new ground then so be it. They will not release the club until a profit is made but that my opinion.

I wouldn't call them polar sides, both are going to Northampton to watch the football. There would only be 1 man and his dog on the hill if you couldn't see the pitch.

The thing is, it doesn't help when fans groups try to split the fans...

Which fans' group is doing that then?

I see the usual passive aggressive hitsquad are out in force in this thread. "Hey man lets not split fans" while insulting posters and making up devisive lies left right and centre.

Haven't got a dog and dont watch the match in progress so if they put a fence up wouldn't bother me

I've just taken my lads tennis racket and balls down to stoney stanton police station in the hope that they had an amnesty on them, like they do with knifes. The copper said ' do you want arresting for wasting police time?' I explained that someone on here said we might be arrested if we hit a ball while playing tennis in the street and it went over a wall onto a field. He call me a twat and told me to f*** ***?
Maybe you won't get arrested?
The worst case is there might be a bye law about ball games outside the ground.= Civil not criminal offence. For it be be criminal they have to prove that you were acting in a way to cause trouble. If alll the fans wanting to pay are in the ground how can a simple game of tennis outside cause trouble?
