Not sure how I can help but pm if you just need someone to talk to and I'll send my number. Happy to listen, it's never too late mate, don't do anything silly.

Alternatively if you want it faceless then 116 123 for the samaritans. Selfless people, amazing job, you'll be telling them nothing they're not heard before and are well placed to help, no shame in feeling like there's no way out, but there often is a way.

You mentioned your pension and I said I could put you in touch with my advisor and I can talk to you if you want - I can give you my mobile if you are over 55 there are things that can be done.

You ok mate? Don’t do anything silly. I’ve been there after the divorce, ended up on the phone to the Samaritans. It’s never as bad as it seems. Call someone. There’s always a chance at redemption dude.

He lives in Spain and I think the lockdown has bankrupted his business

There's lots of people on here who will listen and who can probably help!

Nobody is judging on threads like this.

I have rang the Samaritans before too. It is nothing to be ashamed of.

I am happy to talk to you too, mate.

Just talking to someone can help. Even in a tiny little way.

I am happy to just listen. That's all it takes sometimes, to just have someone there to talk to and listen to you while you pour your heart out. It's too heavy a burden to carry alone. Hang in there, Pipkin and maybe we can all rally around for you. Maybe a Pipkin fund to just give you a tiny lifeline. I am sure loads of us would be happy too all chip in. I would be happy to.

I am up all crazy hours anyway, like now, it's 1.27am and I will be up again at 4am.

I am here for you. We all are.

This too shall pass Pipkin. It sounded like you probably have a decent pension sat waiting for you so speak to Grendel or any of the many people who offered. Don't give in. The sun will shine again.

There always is a light at the end of the tunnel whatever you are going through.

I echo what everyone on this thread has said.

There is a specific Samaritans group in Spain for English speakers, you can call them for free on 900525100 or message them on WhatsApp on 634325906

https://www.samaritansinspain.com/

You are not alone and you will get through this.

Can I ask, had anyone chatted to Pipkin?I do hope he's okay.

I DM'd him not long after his initial post went up.
He replied but his reply didn't make much sense. I replied back but haven't heard anything else.
Hopefully he just had a few beers and is sleeping it off.
His last reply to me was 7:48pm

Same. I keep checking and I do so hope he's okay and only having a bit of a wobble.

If he is desperate for money right now I am sure we can all have a bit of a rally around and just help him, even temporarily to tide him over.

I have a tax refund coming this week, it isn't that much but he is more than welcome to that.

As everyone says above. Please just talk to someone before any decisions are made. Anybody, just sound out your thoughts with someone... please.

You can see by the responses and concern, people do care, and people will help.

I hope you are OK, I don't know you, you don't know me, but I really hope you are OK, whatever it is, you are stronger than it, whether you think it or not, I promise you.

Sending love and thoughts.

Pipkin, there's a few of us here who have been in dark places, through no fault of our own. We're all still here becasue we weren't affraid to ask for help. We argue but we're all on the same team and we need to look out for each other. If things seem bad there are always alternatives, please reach out.

Yep... completely agree with all the comments. In 2001 I had an aborted suicide as a member of the public stepped in. in that darkest of dark places I should have reached out but didn’t. I almost missed out on some of the best years of my life.... I was so lucky someone cared enough to step in. There’s lots of people on here who care and are clearly genuine about helping you get to a better place. Reach out my friend ... we want to help.
