Thorn did his best and that was pretty shit but if you tie a brick to a frog it probably won't swim.

The buck does indeed stop with the employer however that doesn't detract from his extremely poor managerial ability. Failure to sack him immediately after the end of the Championship season crippled our chances of immediate promotion almost from the off.
