They used to play at griff and coton but having played there last year I don't think I would fancy facing any county attack on that track and the place is a dump.

Actually that's the other place I went to in the 80's
Totally agree. I can also remember some of the matches at Courtaulds and I'm sure also at C&NW on Binley Road (although that might have been 2nd eleven). They used to play in the 80's in other grounds now and again. I remember them playing at courtalds and Willis having to do his run up from off the pitch.
I remember a game at Stratford as well and also somewhere else near rugby I think.
Some did it a lot more but they should move championship games around as local interest will be higher.
They have definitely had first team matches at C&NW, I remember going. That was probably early 90s at a guess. Tried looking it up and couldn't find anything other than the fact a 4 day Warwick v Worcester 2nd XI game started today at Binley Road.Totally agree. I think they played a four day game at Stratford a few years ago but it wasn't to successful either a lot if rain or over quickly
It lasted 2 days v Hants, Bears won by 10 wickets I think, Warne & KP in the Hants side, I went to the 2nd day.
Think a couple of years before that game sky televised a championship game from Stratford as well v lancs I think.
Did Stratford have to raise a lot of cash in sponsorship for extra seating etc
You must be minted if you gave up your CCFC season ticket this season, too.I havent been to a Warwickshire game since (had a membership since I was 8 before)

My dear Dad did just that, took a package from work at 61 and became a member at Warwicks. He usually took in 1 day at each home Championship match during the season, plus the Cup games and enjoyed concessionary rates at the Test matches. Also went away to Derby, Northampton and even Glamorgan. This started in the early to mid 90's so there were plenty of trips to Lords too. He could sit anywhere he wanted, including the Pavilion and enjoyed amling round the ground with pint pot in hand. No doubt the membership costs have risen dramatically since then but he reckoned it was good value.I am considering retirement next year and I was tempted to get a membership but what id call "real" membership is around £550 a year. It's pretty steep and I'd probably end up not going that often.
That's in corporate isn't it? The regular membership is £550 for 3 years.I am considering retirement next year and I was tempted to get a membership but what id call "real" membership is around £550 a year.

Wouldn't back them chasing anything over 160 this is likely to be near 260!
You might want to revise that upwards given how they've started!Wouldn't back them chasing anything over 160 this is likely to be near 260!
My pre inns prediction was 225You might want to revise that upwards given how they've started!
I would like to see the medical report on finch they shouldn't allow him a runner for being a fat whacker who can't be bothered to run but with Hannon Dolby bowling you don't need to run much
