Ah, but I am basing this on James saying he WILL get the money back he is owed. In that circumstance all you are doing is paying your customers their money back to make them happy and borrowing money for an incredibly short time. The thing with that is, you are then bringing your family into it by using their money. What happens if that doesn't make it to where it's meant to go and you start owing them as well?
The short term loan deals assume you will have the money within a month, if that doesn't arrive the money to be paid back grows and grows.

All based on James stating he IS getting his money back.
If I had official notification that I was getting a refund and people were calling me a fraud I would pay them back.
Alternatively though, I think I would just show everyone the official notification of refund.
Exactly. You are missing the massive IF though.
Have the boat company said they are giving out refunds now then? Those details are a bit scarce, if they had said "yeah our mix up we will get the money over at the end of the month" I am sure people would feel a bit more confident.
Well this is kind of my point. Its four weeks since that trip, people were asking for a refund for 4 weeks, so why didn't he give the money back straight away? Because he spent the fucker and if I get a refund for me and my two lads I'll show me arse in Tesco's window.
Well this is kind of my point.
If it was me and this was now 4 weeks on and people were calling me a fraud.......well, you know the rest.
Saw an episode of that dubbed into German - was very odd!Yeah but you are basing that on it being you. You probably would have gone massively out of your way to explain it and sort it out. Not a snipped bank statement screenshot and then nothing.
It all seems a bit strange, too much doesn't add up for a top detective.

Yep. It's what I have been saying. It should all be quite simple. It should be a simple case of paying people back.
If it really is £1,400 that is owed then why can't he take that from the profits from the Wembley coaches?
Even £1 profit per head on those coaches would amount to an absolute fortune.
Either that money has gone, or he isn't willing to use it to pay people back. Either paints a clear enough story.
1.4k isnt the biggest amount of dough to be fair like...
Bet you do more a night up your nose La?
My family WOULD loan me the money for sure, so it wouldn't be an issue.
James says this is short term. If he's being genuine you are only talking in terms of a matter of weeks.
It doesn't have to be the kind of loan company you have suggested. There are some with much lower rates that will loan to those with bad credit.
Of course I wouldn't take out a 1,000% loan. That would be daft.
There are many companies where you can get a loan for a month and pay very little in terms of interest if you pay it all back within a month.
'type'.You said you’d use a Wonga type loan if you had to - that’s 3,500% APR
'type'.
Meaning not a normal high street banker or lender because I wouldn't be able to get credit.
I said 'type' to denote not one the usual avenues.
Geez, you are so argumentative.Which are all over 1,000%
Geez, you are so argumentative.
You can get loans with companies that are not 'high street' who will give you a loan without good credit and they are not 1,000%.
Not going to get into a debate about pay day lenders and companies who are not the main lenders..
Not going to go into details on here, but I know it to be a fact.I actually disagree that you can - especially bridging loans - show me some

PM me if you really, really, really want to know. If you are that desperate.Classic
Should PM James than
Ah, memories of Uncle Alan, though more often than not it was a flute. You’ve been played. Like a fiddle m8.

Either way Grendel is right....no way would any sane person go via the payday route....you'd pay out of your own pocket before doing that, either that or you waut for the refund to clear in your own account before you disperse that amongst the various aggrieved boaters. Simples.
Yeah, agree. No-one would go for a crazy APR loan.Either way Grendel is right....no way would any sane person go via the payday route....you'd pay out of your own pocket before doing that, either that or you waut for the refund to clear in your own account before you disperse that amongst the various aggrieved boaters. Simples.
Indeed. If the amount of abuse and threats are to go by I would settle for a reasonable payday loan. Cheaper than a spell in hospital and numerous visits to an arse doctor trying to retrieve your teeth.:wideyed:
Indeed.
Threats against family and kids too, even though their teeth are much smaller.
