68 is a Perrin number.
It is the largest known number to be the sum of two primes in exactly two different ways: 68 = 7 + 61 = 31 + 37. - In the restaurant industry, 68 may be used as a code meaning "put back on the menu", being the opposite of 86 which means "remove from the menu".

The "Rule of 72" is a simplified way to determine how long an investment will take to double, given a fixed annual rate of interest. By dividing 72 by the annual rate of return, investors can get a rough estimate of how many years it will take for the initial investment to duplicate itself.

They are currently listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN list of threatened species. Fishing of any kind is prohibited.
