Omg not this again. Hyam is no better than what we already have.

Cant pass for fuck and extremely slow-that’s why he went.

Suits Blackburn’s hoofball, blood and thunder.

Buy low sell high.

If anyone at the club thought he was decent he’d still be here.

What passes for a ‘competent’ Championship centre back just doesn’t cut it at the top end of the table.

Still can’t get the Yeovil pasting out of my head when Hyam was left for dead.

Lovely bloke and brilliant that he’s doing ‘well’ at his current club but we’ve moved on…

I agree that he’s largely no better than what we have, but Blackburn hardly play blood and thunder hoofball do they?!

Regardless of what you think of him as a player, he went because SISU were desperate for cash. It had nothing to do with his qualities, other than he had enough of them to command a fee.

Is an 83% pass completion bad reference Thomas ?

Feel like it's exaggerated alot on here

CBs should have by far the highest pass completion on the pitch really. The vast majority of their passes are under ten yards unchallenged.

Hyam could pass. I remember a ball he played down the line (for Vik I think) at Posh away which led to a goal. Brilliant, perfectly weighted pass. He was slow, but stick him in the heart of our 3 man defence with Thomas & Kitching alongside him and he'd be great

he'd be at best average and no better than what we have

That's not the passes Thomas was making though, he was trying to play progressive passes that by bypass the CDMs which are harder to make

Yeh i don't think you compare apples to apples with other clubs' CBs as their managers will be asking different things of them. We like ours to be confident on the ball, whilst cutting out some of the absolute nightmare shit from earlier in the season, so the passing stats will be lower than a CB that is just asked to give it to someone who's better at football as quickly as possible.
