Needs to decide whether he is playing for the team or purely for himself
Players with permanent contracts are often suspicious of senior guys who come in on loan from higher up the divisions
Some of them think they're doing the club who take them a favour by dropping down to get game time

This doesn't apply so much to young players getting their first chance of competitive men's football
I have a feeling Robins won't stand for too much of his Big Time Charlie attitude
If we can stay in the top six heading into January we would be an attractive proposition for clubs from the top two divisions who want to give young hungry forwards a chance
It's obvious what we need. Pace and hunger
I trust Robins will have the contacts to do what is necessary

I pointed it out weeks ago that he kept trying silly shots instead of playing others in through on goal.

It's great when he scores but when he doesn't and could have put others clean through on goal it takes the piss a bit. Always wants to score a worldie

Without biamou he seems to generally not be that interested, even at half times etc

Far too greedy and but for him we would surely have been a goal up very early on. McNulty was free and had a clear run on goal, but instead of make quite an easy pass he chose to have a pop from a difficult angle and about 25 yards out.

If he thinks the watching Wolves staff will recommend him for their team seeing him carrying on like that he doesn't know much about the game

I don’t think he is a big time Charlie however etc. He’s just brainless. Everything about him is brainless.

This is the reason he isn’t going to get into Wolves team and has come out here to work things ie his peripheral vision.

Being selfish as striker is good attribute. But when the game hangs in the balance he needs that awareness which will come.

McNulty has gone the polar opposite afraid to shoot and opts to pass when he. Should have shot.

Looking at his stats in the league he's had 56 shots, only hitting the target 17 times (30% accurancy) and scoring 6 goals (1 in 9.3 shots). Only 2 assists - first game of the season and yesterday.

That's in 10 starts 6 sub appearances. 949mins that's a shot every 16 mins.

To me those stats back up what people are saying, he's being too greedy, shooting from distance too much and ignoring people in better positions. He should have had a hatrick of assists yesterday. Also according to ESPN he had 5 of our 9 shots at goal and failed to hit the target in any of them.

He's had more shots than the leagues top scorer how has started every game and played nearly 600 more minutes.

He could be a cracking player but really needs to start being a team player. Given the positions he gets possession in, he really should have more than 2 assists this season.

He didn’t play at Stevenage.

He was unplayable last week vs Lincoln 2nd half.

So it’s extremely frustrating....He will look unplayable one week and shocking the other like yesterday.

Which is a part definition of a league two player...consistency.

Yep. But if it was out of 5 opportunities, 4 times he wouldn't have passed.

I am certain we would have been 1-0 up and would have won the game if he had just slotted that through ball to McNulty. He was unmarked.

Well said. On another day one his pot shots like yesterday he did almost score deflected onto the post.

Thing is he is supremely confident, I don’t want him to lose that confidence.

That Swindon goal is the only one he's actually scored from outside the box too. He did change the game at Lincoln but for the 2nd 15 mins of his 30 on the pitch he just did exactly that again - random pot shots from distance. I guess if his decision making was better he wouldn't be in league 2.

That second half of football was easily the best of the season so far. I think he played closer to to 40 mins.

Have a look at Accrington, Stevenage and Crawley goals against us. They break down the defence by passing it around and tap it in.

That means they commit enough forward and the midfield make runs, rather than just the 2 in the box we have.

It doesn't always take wonder strikes

Was possibly only one of his likely 5 passes he made. So he made the right decision on that occasion. In the first 10/15 mins he was guilty of being greedy or foolish.

Players have gone mad at him during games, grimmer and mcnulty have I think.

Yes a wonder strike is great but if somebody is there screaming for it clear on goal and you have 3 players between you and the goal you have a decision to make.

This isn't something new tho from him, he's been like it all season. Just his goals at a time we wasn't scoring masked it and his relationship with the fans made him a favourite. Fans are happy to let it ride till it becomes so obvious it's affecting the outcome of some games.
Yes he's won games with a moment of individuality, class and a nice goal but he's been guilty a lot this season of doing just what he did yesterday.

That's why he's here tho on loan to irradiate those moments in his game where his decision making is wrong, just like JJ is at a L2 club.

Flashes of magic, individual brilliance, match winning moments but the end product is to often lacking unless the moon and stars are all lined up.

Twice within the 1st 10mins yesterday with a through ball he could of put McNulty through 1 on 1 but chose a innefective shot from distance instead! We'd be singing his praises if either had gone in. Neither did and he needs to know when to shoot and when to pass. Complete reverse in the second half when we were crying out for somebody to shoot they just wanted to pass! And when he did finally have a shot, 1 was a ridiculous bycicle kick and the other a massive swing and a miss!

Ironically, on one other occasion yesterday he perhaps should have shot, but decided to pass instead.

It's all about knowing when to take it on yourself and when other players are in a better position to score.

Have a look at some of the goals scored against us, they are laying the ball off to players in space to tap it in.

It's all well and good when you score from taking it on yourself or is we are 3-0 up, but when it's time after time they need to look up and lay it off.

I've said this plenty of times. JJ and Nazon at times both guilty of making the right decision and going solo. This is why they are in the 4th division tho.

JJ had another, the last kick of the game nearly at Chesterfield. He shot from to most tightest of angles. Plus the fact it went high over the bar. A cut back ball or low drilled ball is the better choice.

It's one of the reasons it looks like we have loads of chances / shots when in reality they were all awful with much better options.

MR has said a few occasions in his interviews, players not playing the right pass, shooting when a pass is better, passing when the shot is better....
overall decision making hasn't been right in the attacking areas yet we've often had one or two solo players going alone in the 11

It's little wonder our goal returns not great, plus factor the perfect goal we seem to want to score when the team player get that vital opportunity.

Frustrating for us and MR for sure. Let's hope the tide turns the second half of the season.

JJ was guilty on occasion but that was part of making the wrong choice through inexperience maybe
Kevin de Bruyne has it right when he says he enjoys setting up goals as much as scoring
Pundits are now saying he's the best player in the country
The Duke should think about that
