WE KNOW WHAT WE VOTED FOR!!!
Bloody remoaner
Hahah that's amazing. What a fucking idiot.
I don't understand though, I thought all the Brits out of work because of those pesky foreigners taking their jobs were going to fill these roles?
A bit like Pick for Britain. How's that going? Oh, it got scrapped.
Maybe we can try Pour for Britain, get these roles at Wetherspoons filled.
Always enjoyable to see a Leaver get what they voted for though.

The flip side to Martin’s call for cheap European labour is better pay/conditions for workers here (UK and those on visas/permits).
Just heard a guy from Unite saying just that and how the hospitality trade made the current shortfall of hospitality staff redundant during pandemic rather than retain them, pay NI and use furlough scheme. now many of those staff have got other jobs that are better paid and/or better conditions
My locals got loads of staff (historically mostly at uni/recently left uni - guessing uni situation might’ve also caused some shortages), pints are probably a premium but you get served quickly and they obviously treat the staff well
Ps always found it hard to understand farmers, Martin etc voting for Brexit when their industries rely on cheap labour.
Think I've mentioned it before but a client of ours is a chain of luxury hotels (in the £400 and upwards a night bracket). Virtually all their non-management staff are Eastern European and seeing the conditions they work in was certainly an eye opener. The flip side to Martin’s call for cheap European labour is better pay/conditions for workers here (UK and those on visas/permits).

On minimum wage but live on site, in appalling conditions, for which rent is deducted from their pay. They work long hours but in and out as required so for example you can be working 6-8am for breakfast, then 12-2pm for lunch and 5-9pm in the evening. The hotels are in the countryside with no public transport links so they are all basically stuck on site 24/7/365.
A benefit of Brexit should be that the pay and conditions in those type of roles improves, not like its unaffordable. The owner of the company I'm talking about took a £35m dividend last year off profits of £90m but as you say they were very quick to get rid of staff as soon as the pandemic hit to avoid paying out. Not nice reading about record profits and huge dividends while they are getting rid of the staff that have put the work in to achieve that.
They're way ahead of you there. Half the marketing department has been replaced with apprentices since the pandemic began. Bit of a tricky one for them as, to put it politely, they only employ a certain demographic of people which doesn't alway match up with the pool of candidates on apprenticeship schemes. They should just employ a few people on the apprentice scheme
Wetherspoon boss denies worker shortage caused by Brexit
Tim Martin told investors on Wednesday that a Daily Telegraph story ‘misrepresented Wetherspoon’s position’.www.standard.co.uk
Kind of changed his mind.
No surprise you’re against immigrants arriving from Europe. You’ve really shown your true colours on here
I'll give Martin one thing, I didn't think he could be any more of a wanker but he's proved me wrong

Brexit news: Patriotic London traders quit jobs rather than face relocation to EU | Politics | News | Express.co.uk
A GROUP of London traders has staged a stunning rebellion against EU rules by quitting their jobs after being asked to relocate to the bloc.www.google.co.uk
Fucking catphobesWhat the fuck is wrong with cats?
We knew what we voted for!
nobody seems to be wondering why no countries within the EU have to suffer this red tape, and nobody seems to realise that nothing in the rules have changed, it’s us that’s changed- we were in, now we’re out. We voted for this, it was ”what the nation wanted”
but ‘patriots’ all over lap it up so I guess it sells papers at least
