The ghost of O’Hare finally laid to rest? (15 Viewers)

You're right. They're not alike. Rudoni is a lot bigger and stronger. How often did O'Hare score with his head?

So Sheffield United winning more games and scoring more goals doesn't make it easier for their players?

They’ve scored one more goal than us

He has played 31 games this season. Started in 30 of them. How many goals and how many assists?

Er that’s not what you said.

You’ll be showing crowds booing in the summer and thinking it was at the weekend soon.

You're trying to make out O'Hare is the better player. Have Sheffield United scored more goals than us? That's what I said.

So continue with what you're saying. How well is O'Hare doing this season? How many goals and how many assists in 31 games?

COH is a great player, but I think Rudoni suits this system a lot more. His set piece delivery is invaluable too.

Well the fact he’s started 30 games for a team at the top would suggest he’s doing pretty well I’d have thought

4m was never too expensive for Rudi, he’s shown this ability at Huddersfield in this league if he was on a team where they had forwards that could score he wouldnt be with us, their top scorer last season was their CB (Helik), and they were an awful team but he always looked a bright spark in their side

Agreed, anyone who couldn’t see his value had not seen him play. He absolutely stood out against us on our last visit up there. Very clear he was a special player.

I actually don’t know what you are blabbering on about to be honest.
Goals are when you put that bit of leather with air in it in between the two posts and under the crossbar. Assists are when you pass the ball to someone and he does it.

How many times has O'Hare managed to do it this season?

No sorry I was referring to this;

I’d say that fact they’re looking good for a top 2 finish isn’t the plus for Rudoni that you’re making out. O’hare is the superior player but Rudoni is great. No need to even compare the 2. They’re nothing alike.
He's superior, they are just very different players

Cal was great off the ball and Rudi is better on the ball.

Given this thread keeps getting posts the answer to the original question is no. 😁

Agree, O'Hare didn't score many goals for us, but his work off the ball and pressing from the front was vital for how we played, and it was really evident when he wasn't in the team

More of a defensive #10 I’ve always thought. No idea what he’s like now as the only game I’ve seen him play this season was v us.

Let's face it, a lot of it is because when we got promoted in lockdown we were all locked in and he danced with a wig on.

He had a bit of a purple patch where he scored a few goals but was massively overrated because of the wig, sunglasses and going on stage with Tom Grennan.

Yeah same, and he looked a bit lost in that game. Think the stick he received from the home fans actually really unsettled him as well

He’s comparing players, and you’re comparing teams. You surely know that doesn’t make sense.

Not really, O’hare is a team player rather than a talisman. No surprise his team are flying.

Rudoni has been apart of some real poor teams and been involved in a couple of relegation battles already. It’s great that his numbers are good but incredibly naive to imagine O’hare isn’t offering a hell of a lot to the team that have won the joint most points in the league.

Yes, then he left and is now playing every game for the team that was won the joint most points in the league. Do they overrate him for wearing a wig too?

It's a comparison to Rudoni, isn't it? Isn't he above him just on passes completed with loads less passes attempted and that's about it?

See how much he plays in the Prem.

Surely we all watched O’hare enough to know what his strengths are and why that would be extremely valuable to a team like Sheffield United. If you think he’s overrated, you’re completely delusional. This thread proves it’s the opposite of that.

How much would Rudoni play in the prem? Nonsense point. Maybe he should put a wig on.

That point about the Prem was because him and his agent clearly thought that's where he was going.

The jist is he's a number 10 who will run a lot and press, doesn't get many goals and assists but will defend from the front and win fouls.

Ironically, Rudoni has been better since he got rid of the bleached hair.

And it is very likely he will be going there. Fantastic player

I think that’s the problem though, we’re not trying to ‘imagine’ anything. We’re trying to make a comparison using stats derived from their actual contribution to games. I’m sure CoH is having a good season, but I wouldn’t swap him for Rudoni.
Sheffield United finished 19 points above us the last time they were promoted, that doesn’t make Jon Fleck a better player than Gustavo Hamer.

O’hare is having a fantastic season for the joint best team in the league as of now. Was a great move for him.

Rudoni is having a great season for a team just outside the play offs. Everyone’s happy.
