I have been trying to find an answer to this but can't. So can anyone on here help?

If the the golden share is a "passport" to playing league football, and as Coventry are effectively in liquidation, could someone just buy the golden share and put together a team and start playing in Division 2?

Or am I being too simplistic?

I think sort of something like that could have been done before (I imagine if someone like Haskell had won the bid for CCFC Ltd and aquired the golden share he would have had to do some deal with SISU for the players contracts an what not)

now though as Otium have been awarded the golden share upon CCFC Ltd being liquidated its impossible
