The Hamer applause at the corner (2 Viewers)

Probably the single most nauseating moment I've ever experienced as a fan

There is a time and place for it.

While he's about to take a corner, potentially leading to a goal against us, and you've got a good few thousand people trying to take his cock in their mouth is an absolute loser mentality in my view.

There's a time and place for showing appreciation. That wasn't it

Why was Hamer given a standing ovation and COH booed?!

They both left us, it happens in football so move on.

Particularly as O’Hare actually showed more ‘respect’ through the game in terms of celebrations etc.

Not that I expect either of them to show ‘respect’. As fans we should ignore them and as players they should do whatever they like.

As weird as it was, for me it was only the second strangest moment of the day. Loved the montage and thanks for Robins, well deserved as was a quick rendition of 'One Mark Robins' but the clapping throughout as if it was an RIP moment was bizarre.

I suppose the argument would be that one left us for a Premier League team for a big transfer fee whereas the other one left us for a team in the same division for free

More importantly, it’s all pantomime though and you can’t take it too seriously

Get over it - people liked Hamer and decided to clap in Singers Corner. It was the majority. Liverpool fans have done it regularly in the past. What I thought was odd, was the way the atmosphere dropped like a stone when they scored their second. Sadly, I think some of this is down to when the drummer decides to take a (fag?/p*ss/chat) break. Fans who have been caught up in the atmosphere (as they were for a lot of the time) seemed to collectively take a 'hush break' , No idea why, but it did feel odd. Luckily the sending off helped kick start an atmosphere again.

I said the same earlier.

Not sure why Hamer is still so well regarded by Cov fans, but O'Hare was always going to get booed.
Didn't they both leave in similar circumstances? Just because O'Hare went to a club in the same league?

Think they're both worthy of applause for their contributions, but definitely after the game is done with

The drummer needs to be going for the full game, it’s the heartbeat of the crowd. I thought he’d fucked off home against Derby as there was hardly a peep after they scored

We were 2 1 down and you're all stood there applauding the bloke who assisted their second? It's pathetic

When he was subbed off, fine

Little goblin looks like he's turned full bellend since he moved to them fucking shithouses. Hope he gets out of Cov quickly today though or he could end up with an arse so sore it rules him out for the season.

Most of the ground mate you’re in a huge minority
I didn’t applaud either or boo them

It's even worse that it was those from Block 10 round to 18

They're the most passionate and noisy usually, but lost some respect for anyone who took part in that. They'd walk in on Gus leathering their Mrs and still applaud him the saps

Agree with OP with this one. Stupidest thing I’ve seen from home fans in ages.
grown men standing up to clap someone playing against them whilst 2-1 down.
time and place. Can give the guy a send off clap after the game, but during?

The bloke left us high and dry, stated he was staying all summer then jumped at the first chance he got.

I’ve still got blisters from how hard I clapped.

I'd get the CCTV our and ban the lot of them. Fucking weapons.
Imagine if they'd scored from that corner?
They'd probably have cheered that as well, fucking twats.

whole ground did It , I doubt 24000 fans are bothered what you think

Well no they didn't did they because I'm in 32 and no one around me did it. They all agreed it was bent

Did you enjoy clapping for the nice man who tore us apart all game and had not long assisted their 2nd goal?

Do you often watch your wife with other men too?
