He’s a geeedy wanker so yes
is he a greedy wanker for moving to a premier league team and probably increasing his salary 4x, so that he an his family are financially set for life? 🤣

As I said I have no problem with it.

The narrative he gave though is he loves the club. Then the nonsense he needs to be near his child,

He’s a soldier of fortune and no different to O Hare

Loved Hamer when he was here and would love to get him back here tbf, but even I thought it was pretty pathetic the applause he received. Don't hold any bad feelings for the way he left either, he told the club he wanted to leave after we lost the play off final, it's not his fault it was left so late in the window before Berge went to Burnley and then Sheff Utd went after Hamer. Its the way football is. It's our fault for not finding a suitable replacement and we still haven't 3 transfer windows later. We also could have rejected any deal and risked it all on getting promotion.

O'Hare is just a rat though, not sure what it is but I find him very unlikeable.

so hamer goes over to take a corner, acknowledges singers corner and they return the compliment and some fans on here throw they’re toys out the pram 😂

The key difference is that he’s a much better player than O’Hare, and we made a substantial profit on him

What?! Can't remember this. Tell me more
We played Blackpool he put them 1 up and half the stand clapped him. Boiled my piss and I let it be known to those within earshot (alcohol had been taken) I wasn't happy!

Won in the end though so all ok :)

Probably the single most nauseating moment I've ever experienced as a fan

There is a time and place for it.

While he's about to take a corner, potentially leading to a goal against us, and you've got a good few thousand people trying to take his cock in their mouth is an absolute loser mentality in my view.

There's a time and place for showing appreciation. That wasn't it
Yeah showing appreciation for a player who gave us some fantastic memories and was probably the most exciting player in the last 20 years.

My son went to the Stoke away game aged 6 as his first game. Hamer was the main reason he retained an interest in the club and supports them now (we live in the SE of England for reference).

How dare we show appreciation for such a player. Get over yourself

Has this really rattled so many of our fans 😂 I remember at highfield road when Robbie Keane scored against half the ground applauded it, some people haven’t had their snickers tonight 😂

I'm not bitter towards either of them , but those are the facts, and prob 90% follow that opinion. If O'Hare went for £15m, and hamer went on a free I imagine the cheers and boos would be flipped
I don't dislike OHare because he didn't bring in a few million quid.
I dislike him because he has an inflated opinion of himself and everything that goes with that.
He won't last at United: if they fail to get promotion he'll want to leave. If they do get promoted he'll be on the bench and want to leave .

Maybe I’m out of touch but I thought it was a great show of appreciation and love for one of the best players we’ve had here in years!
He stood head and heels over anyone on the pitch and has been greatly missed.
We got a very decent transfer fee for him which helped develop the squad we have now whereas OHare ran his contract down and walked for free hence his reception.
I don’t think it greatly mattered when he was applauded and that was a spontaneous outpouring of appreciation by the VAST majority of singers corner - enough said!
Just saying!

Clapping in the corner was pathetic.

They both left as soon as they got a better offer. Hamers was in the Premier League but for a struggling team and COH our league but for a club with more money and higher chance of promotion (on paper). If either had a better offer earlier, they’d have left sooner.

They both strung us along, in fact arguably Hamer did more so.

It isn’t a players choice if they make a profit or not.

And both were pivotal to our success over the last few years.

So why one was lauded and one wasn’t, I don’t really know.

Did he give acknowledgment though? I’m in block 18 and I didn’t see it (not saying it didn’t happen) but I did see people behind the goal, corner and to the blocks to the right of me stand up and applaud him to the level which messi received an ovation at the bernabeu.
If he cared that much he would have stayed at the end and clapped everyone, but he didn’t.
On the note of Vik, least he was honest even in January he was ditching us if we didn’t go up. Gave us a clap off at Wembley and went. Hamer even up until Wimbledon was adamant to everyone he was staying (even though he didn’t intent to).

Not that it’s entirely relevant, but this phenomena of clapping opposing players (regardless of their service to Cov) has always baffled me.

In the late 90’s I distinctly remember both Michael Owen (for Liverpool) and David Beckham being clapped and lauded over by our fans every time they farted near the ball. It just puzzled me.

I remember once Owen scored against us (possibly 98-99 at home) and there were fuckers on their feet applauding him! Mental.

great Mind games today from our fans, imagine being o hare seeing the reception hamer got and your getting booed every touch, def effected him,

COH ran his contract out and wouldn’t sign another one
Hamer was subject to a bid accepted by the club
That’s the difference
Everyone’s reaction to that is up to them

Definitely. He looked lost today, and think the crowd got in his head big time.
Would feel sorry for him if it wasn't for our benefit
The folks reckon he played exactly the same vs Pompey as he did today…offered nothing and subbed off.
