Given the shite weather over the German neck of the woods (and with seemingly little chance of improvement in the foreseeable) we've now taken ourselves off to France, and have just passed St Etienne on the way to a bit of Med sun.
Just parked up for a spot of lunch and coffee. It feels warmer (and drier) already.

We're going to overnight just outside Le Puy-en-Valey tonight and push on in the morning.
En-route (tomorrow) we'll either pass through Millau, for views of the bridge, or, pay the toll and go over the bridge.
Undecided - but being a tight git, not paying sounds better, and also means you actually get to see it.
Dilemmas.

That's one mutha of a bridge.
We decided on a couple of nights in Millau. Surprisingly nice town.

80 days or so till we go away, left it too late to develop a six pack . Might as well try to trim the barrel a bit

Supposed to be going away Monday, postponed honeymoon from May 2020.

But Mrs Wisdom may need a quick trip to hospital, so who knows if we're actually going(!)

Been looking at Turkey but have always heard mixed reviews.

What’s everyone’s thoughts and any suggestions on an area to stay for me and the Missus that isn’t the Turkish Magaluf but still has a bit of life?

Been going since 2001, love the county, not as cheap as then but still live the people and the holidays we enjoy there.

Been to Oludeniz twice and really liked it (last time about 10 years ago), quite chilled, great food. A blue lagoon. Hisaronu up the hill is a bit livelier. Would recommend it.

Not strictly a holiday as it’s for work but off to Uzbekistan in a couple of weeks which will be another new country to tick off the list.

Been to Oludeniz, Kusadasi and Marmaris

Marmaris reasonably lively but enjoyed it, bad experience in Kusadasi but loved Oludeniz and would go back there again

The one country I would love to go back to again, never seen beaches like it in my life (Eagle beach being the most picturesque closely followed by Baby beach in the south of the island)

Somehow managed to get into Fred restaurant which is rated #1 on Trip Advisor. $100 a head at the time (2017) but the best dining experience of my life!

Haven’t given a moments thought about the game on Saturday. Too deep in the holiday blues! Only the thought of booking another big holiday for next year is keeping me positive.
