I'm off work this week, got a ham shank from the butcher earlier (fnarr fnarr). Making a pea and ham soup at the moment, to be eaten accompanied with tiger bread.

...On oaty bread + Rib "N" Saucy Nik Naks (filthy crisp porn) & a large cuppa tea.

Simple al-desko dining.
I hate to break it to you like this but you're wrong.

Independently great choices, but cheese and pickle, like cheese and onion butties requires cheese and onion crisps to accompany them. McCoys ridged full of flavour would be my C&O of choice, but of course others are available.

Need to stick a few giant purple spring onions on the side, not too hot but just right for partnering a sandwich!

Home cooked ham with boiled-but-not-pickled beetroot is a great sandwich.
And i have to disagree about the choice of crisps with a cheese sarnie - for me, it has to be salt and vinegar, every time!
Oh and the missus did us a fish finger sarnie last week, with a bit of ketchup. Amazing!!!

But since we've both been working from home these past 7 months, the variety and quality of lunches has gone off the scale compared to what i used to make myself to take to work. And we get to eat together most days, which is an added bonus.

My sandwich of choice is a slice of cathedral city , Wiltshire Ham , chorizo and a couple of spoons of coleslaw
Served on two good slices of tiger bread and a packet of paprika max crisps
